aftermarket HID use in VA

anyone been hassled by the cops for driving around with aftermarket lighting? i know its illegal to have neon lights visible from the outside, along with turn signals that light up any color other than orange up front...

i can tell from a mile away when someone's running an aftermarket HID kit. anyone get in trouble for it?

No I never had any problems!
But I used OEM color (4300) and everything is installed from below.
No evidence of a HID kit looking from the top.

I suggest you get projectors to go with your HID's. Thsi will cut down on the glare issue and the cops won't hassle you. To have HID's without projectors is like having your high beams on all the time..the projectors distribute the light evenly and properly, when they are aimed properly. The only problem is, if you order the K2 projectors, it comes with H1 bulbs, not 9005/9006 bulbs like in your standard stock set, which means you need to order a set specifically made for the K2 projectors.

I made a right turn in front of a Cop last night w/ my halos on. I pulled into Chipolte where 3 more cops were, they all looked at my lights while I drove by and the only comment I got was "Hey nice looking car". I doubt they'll care much about HIDs.
