How much did you pay in taxes (Illinois owners)?

I'm trying to know how much tax would be on this car, so what did you guys pay, if you remember.

Or is there a way to find out how much it would be. Since i'm looking at paying $30k for a Touring instead of the higher prices you guys paid for a C.

It is a set percentage of the purchase price based on the county you live in. Could be anywhere from 5.5% to 7.0% of the final price if you buy it straight out. Or based on the sales price minus your trade in. Find out what the sales tax is in your county.

Sales tax on autos is exactly as stated above, based where you live. Even if you travel into Wisconsin from Illinois, you still pay taxes where you live.
