Summary Auto Show

I went on Thurs at noon, no crowds, so I was able to see everything. Have you noticed how paint systems are ever changing? Lots of color shifting paint on concepts, soon to be coming on factory cars. I can't wait. How about the International Harvester Hummer Killer. This thing was massive. Needed a ladder to get in. too extreme for my taste, not to mention the 4 miles to a gallon. Here are my 2005 pics.
Best sports car for the money> Corvette
Best sports car, (money no object) Austin Martin
Best sedan for the price > 300c (my favorite)
Best Sedan money no object> Bentley
Best Value >PT Cruiser (my personal car)
Best car at the show> a rare 1970 Chevelle SS
Most outragious car> Maybach
Ugliest car at the show> all the minivans

I went there on Wednesday. We reached there at about 2 I believe. Left at 7. I was glad the crowd was how much it was, I was expecting it to be busier. It was fun. My first auto show i've actually been too. I took so many pictures, over 150 pictures on my camera phone! Heh. I should put them online but i'm so lazy.

This sounds kinda biased but I thought Chryslers booth was just fantastic and the best. They made the auto show experience even more fun. I mean the life card and taking pictures with cars, then the ride you could get on any of the cars from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, and then the wierd stuff like the girl in the tree costume on stilts, lol. I just wish I could have ridden a Jeep in their off road course, but the damn wait was 1 HOUR! Chrysler was 30 minutes and Dodge was 15 minutes, but I didn't really want to ride in their boring course.

And then ofcourse the satisfaction of looking at 300's at nice too. Man, they had SIX 300's, S-I-X! I don't think there was any other car at the show with so many shows other than maybe the new Mustang. Then there was even the DUB edition 300C, Magnum and Charger. Is it me or does DUB just loving the LX series (3 out of their 4 cars).

That reminds me, i've always liked the Charger, but seeing it in person looks even better.

The cars that I liked most were:
Porsche Carrera GT (first thing as I entered Hall A, my first hall)
Maybach 57 and 62
Ferrari 360 Modena
Toyota/Lexus supercar (interested in a Japanese supercar)
Bentley Arnage and Continental GT
Smart ForTwo, ForFour, and Roadster (very intersting cars since I first read about them)
Mercedes' cars
Nissan and Infinity cars. I love Nissans designs after they redid all of their cars. If it wasn't for the 300's amazing looks, I would definately getting a Nissan instead.
Chrysler Firepower, Dodge Ram SRT-10, Dodge Nitro
CTS-V, STS-V, DTS, XTS or whatever their sport car is
Corvette Z06
Various Ford Mustangs (including Saleen), Ford GT, Ford Shelby GR-1 or whatever that car is which had a chrome paintjob, holy crap, what a shiny car
Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari Formula 1 car (at shell setup)
Volvo LEGO car, lol haha
Aston Martin and Jaguar cars
and then of course the favorite Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum and Charger!

and I definately don't think that the Maybach is outragious at all, not at all. It is one of the most sensible cars at the show. You tell me, if you had pretty much unlimited cash like so many multimillionaires + do, wouldn't you want a car where you could do things other than just sit there while your driver drives you around. That is my dream car. I always wish instead of driving I could be doing something enjoyable, like watching TV, player video games or being on the internet. And when you are tired you can have a nice massage with a fully reclining premium leather seats. Plus how many times have you wanted a nice cold drink in the summer, well you can with the small refrigirator in there. And even if you had a driver driven car, most cars have the controls in front, by the driver, not you. Here it puts them in the back. Maybach is the greatest luxury car on the planet. Bentley and Rolls Royce needs to learn from them.

Gang,

WOW, the Chrysler display was OUT STANDING!!! For the last several years Chrysler was sandwiched between Ford and GM. That was all three divisions shoved together, Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler into a small area. But this year Chrysler was there to be COUNTED. They took up the whole south end of the building where Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi and several other high dollar displays were in the past years. They just stole the whole show with the "Ride" that they had set up. Almost every model car, Jeep and truck they make was there to be ridden in. The Jeep "Ride" was just out of this world with the "Bumps, Rocks and The Climb" they had set up. The "Climb" was at least a 50 degree climb that my wife said she would not ride on<G>. It was cool.

Chrysler should be congratulated for their outstanding display.

Cool, you actually went on the Jeep ride. How long did you have to wait? I would think on Saturday it would be crazy.

I wish the line wasn't an hour when I went, I SO wanted to go on it!
