This kit is pretty straight forward. Plugs in here, attach wire to stud here, run harness on this side to lamps, remove headlight switch and install new switch. The installation instructions are nothing more than pictures, but the kit seems simple enough. There is no wire splicing, just plug in connectors. Someone with some mechanical knowledge shouldn't have any problems.

Ted, just curious - are the fog lamp units the same as in the 300C? Also what is part number for kit? Thanks.

Ted, received mine today, along with the mud flaps. Great! Fast! Service!
After reading the directions (or actually studying the pictures), the back page says the following:
"Re-connect the battery. Use a diagnostic StarScan tool so that the Front Control Module is reconfigured and recognizes the front fog lamps. Follow the procedure below:"
yadda...yadda...yadda.
needless to say I do not have this tool in my tool box. Do you know if this has to go to the dealer to finish this add-on?
Thanks

yeah, i had a mixup with mine, got some for a magnum. but its cool because of the extremely fast shipping. would have got the new one in a one day turnaround, but with tracking them, fedex got my address mixed up. i better go to fedex early so they dont ship them back to ted!

hmmmm, I didn't notice that on the instructions. Yes, that means it would have to go to the dealership to be flashed for fog lamps.

The lamps are not identical to the 300C, they are identical to the lamps on a Touring model.

hey ted, i just dropped the car off at chrysler and when i told them about doing the starscan, they hesitated and then said that it is 80 bucks to do it. is this what i am supposed to be charged or do you think that they dont know what they are exactly doing before they see it and just give a rough estimate. damn, i figured that getting by with just 110 dollars was too good to be true, but i guess that it may be still worth it.

That sounds really steep for a 5 minute job, 10 tops if the tech has to wonder around the shop to find where the last guy left it. These reprogramms we usually charge about $45.00 for, that include programming keys and fobs. Simple process, just got to have the $6000.00 piece of equipment.
