Input anyone???

We have our fair share of Magnums and Chargers here as well. I'm thinking change it to the standard year-make-model and have all the info appear on one line on screen... (i.e. 06 Chrysler 300 Base -or- 06 Dodge Magnum R/T -or- 06 Dodge Charger SRT8, etc.) meaning, delete the "trim" line.
Any other info can be included in the sig space as we do now. I thought about making "trim" read options, but that could/would just get carried away

...whatcha think members, chime in here!

Linda,Year, make,& model would probably be the way to go.From prior post,Trim seems to be confusing.( I'm almost anticipating seeing " chrome" next to trim -- LOL)

I think that "trim" or "package" are the most accurate ways to denote the final configuration of the car, i.e., limited, touring, C, SRT8.

To the extent that a particular trim might have two different engine sizes, is it worthwhile to add "Engine: xxxx" to the listing?

I'm with Linda's suggestion. It is very specific, succinct, and will keep the profile box from looking too cluttered. Any other miscellaneous vehicle information can be included in a member’s siggie.

I hear ya, but not everyone here is "car people". One look around and you'll see the info is all over the map. The point is to standardize it as much as possible to facilitate assisting each other with less need to delve into basic questions before we can do so.

Had another thought, now that this feature has been in place for a few days...
I'd REALLY like to see the year-make-model info as the last line of the profile block, rather than at the top, to keep it easy to see each member's join date at a glance.

Hmm

Good point - one does have to squint a bit to find it, and join date is looked at/for more frequently than the car details.

Concur fully.

I guess so. You know if you really want to standardize..why not make the choices available from a "drop-down" list. That way there are not fill-ins.
