SRT-8 Exhaust and Supercharger

What kind of exhaust system does everyone have?

Hi I am newbie to the site from Hawaii and am impressed by the forum. I recently added a Magnaflow exhaust and am quite happy with it however I wouldve gone with the Borla if it were available. A friend of mine that has connections at Borla said it will be at least another 2-3 months before they have one for the SRT-8.
I also just got hold of a supercharger from GS Motorsports in La HAbra, Ca and will have it installed next week. According to the guy at GS they dynoed their car and they were getting 520 HP to rear wheels and about 520 lbs of torque. He said they were doing 13.58 1/4's pre-charger but with the new stock blower on they were getting 12.1 sec at 117 mph. So needless to say I am looking forward to the installed product. The stock kit sells for $5650 in satin and an extra $700 for polished. Provides 6 psi of boost and an additional Big Booster kit is available for another $500 that gives bigger injectors and a second fan amongst other goodies and provides 9-10 psi of boost but you need to have someone good with reprogramming the computer. Here in Hawaii I dont really have those resources so opted for the stock blower.
I ve enjoyed seeing some hot cars in here and am looking around for new ideas. So far I ve had custom NC Forged 3 piece 22" rims made for my SRT-8 which had to be custom because of the size of the Brembos. It was hard eating the $9000 for the rims but I guess it looks good. Also added an Alpine IVA-D901 unit with all alpine new speakers and fold down DVD and am having custom headrests with 9' screens. MY guy was able to put a nice speaker box in the trunk for the 10' subs. A little overkill for the DVD screens but with 3 kids it keeps them busy.
One of the best addons I did and one that has really changed the look was to buy a Strut grill for the front as it really has made the car look different. I dont know if it was worth the $3000 especially when you can get one that looks similar for 1/2 price but I guess youre paying for the Strut name. Will post again to let you know how the blower changed the car. If anyone has any good ideas for the interior would be happy to hear some.
One last thing about the rims. I would advise anyone getting nice rims to change their brake pads as mine were getting dirty every 2-3 days and that can obviously just eat up the new rims. I called Brembo and they said they had nice upgrades to ceramic brake kits(of course another 3-4K) but didnt have any new pads yet. They said that while Chrysler did indeed purchase Brembo kits they weren't made at their usual factories and were basically their cheapest kit. When I find new pads that dont put off such enormous dust will follow up in here.. Thanks for letting me share my 2 cents and look forward to being a member in here..

Marlin, I thought you were a Kona boy, but you look to be a Gold Coast Kahala boy?

i heard the zoomers can get pretty annoying at speeds and the droning gets ugly.but sound great at idle n accelerating otherwise.

Very classy SRT8 Marlin, welcome to the forum!

A lil bit off topic.... but I will be attending school in Hawaii next fall (University of Chaminade). It kills me that Im going to have to part with with my C while Im gone, but shipping it out there for just 2 years would be very costly I assume. Not to mention I heard gas is even more ridiculously priced than in the continental states. I plan on probably buying a motorcycle while Im over there to for my daily driver. I know there are a couple Hawaii guys on the forums, and since I figured this post would draw most of their attention just wanted to see who all is from Hawaii here. Im going to need a new 'support group' while Im experiencing 300 'withdrawal', lol.
