Ooh, I like your assessment much better, the "wild" side, yeah, that's it!
'A Walk on the Wild Side' was a very cool jazz side from the early 60's, by Si Zentner, also of 'The Stripper' fame. Sorry, side-'tracked' (pun intended)

3. can you change torque management?

I'll look at the "other" forum to see what you've done so far.
Thanks for posting on this side of the aisle!
1. No. Unfortunately not. The speed limiter is embedded into the flash file for the pcm. The flash files are the only thing I am having trouble hacking into. Understand I said having trouble, doesn't mean I won't. LOL! I have several more hacks up my sleeve on this one. I plan on working on it middle of next week. Heck, the speed limiter information is not even communicated across the network. The only thing communicated is a bit that gets set when you reach it (not stored just a flag to all of the other modules).
2. As long as you have the new hardware it should just be a flash upgrade to the esp module. What I need to do is find a 300C with the esp 3 way option in it and find out what version flash they have then upgrade yours to that version. The CD upgrades I get in the mail have all of the current versions of flashes.
3. Again no. Same as Number 1.

Hey Magnumfreak,
What part of the world are you in? I'm in Scottsdale, AZ. I have an August built '06 300C SRT-8. If you need any info (software versions etc...) or a car to plug into to "explore" I'm game. Anything to help my brethren "Adjust" our cars to our liking!

Good luck with your code hacking!

Dan

Magnumfreak,

Havn't check the other forum lately, so I thought I would ask here.

Anything new to report with your Starscan dissection?

1. No unfortunately not.
2. Don't know. The software selections vary from car to car depending on what is available for that car. I haven't had it connected up to a 300 yet.
3. Again, no. Both the speed limiter and torque management is set by the flash file uploaded to the car. Current version of software doesn't allow for modifications.

You would think that for what this tool costs everything would be available.

Thumbs up

Welcome, Andrew! Great to see your smiling face over here.

You'll find this great group every bit as eager to unleash the hidden secrets and capabilities of these awesome Hemis as you're used to at LX forums. You are a very welcome asset here.

Thanks, BTW, for your direct help today in getting my fogs to remain on with my high beam HIDs. When I choose to I can now be in virtual flamethrower mode with 6 intensely bright lights firing forward - a visual air horn, if you will. lol

Different topic, buddy. When you have the time & inclination I'd like for you to share your charity work experience with the group here. It will, I guarantee you, be very well received, and supported.

Take care, Freak - thanks for all you do!
