Been lurking

I've been guilty of lurking and not putting too much into the forum. I've now recieved my baby, see blurry picture of my new baby . I will be posting more as I un-cover the delights, quirks and other new experiences ....

For starters my background of ownership includes joe-consumer attempts at the most reasonable stock speed I can get my hands on - I'm all thumbs when it comes to mods ...
  • Honda CBX - 6 cylinder 1000cc motorcycle - felt like I was lifting off as I passed through 70 in second gear!
  • Chevy Monte Carlo SS - my wife calls it my pimp mobile - not too fast - but very high cool factor
  • Nissan Sentra SE-R - went to the (dark) import side for awhile, nice car - reasonable speed
  • Chevy Impala SS - last year they made it - my wife loved this car - probably should have kept this - roared when you stepped on the gas in anger - (check the Impala out)
Subaru WRX Impreza STI - another trip to the (dark) import side - wicked fast - my wife hated the ride - I loved the power to weight ratio - closest thing to motorcycle acceleration I've felt in a stock car (some pics )
  • Chrysler 300C SRT8 - my wife says this might be her favorite car - might be my favorite too - the gurgelling sound at idle, the awesum acceleration on freeway ramps with "slight" pressure on the accelearator, the interior, the accessories ohhh and the motor - I'm getting weak at the knees

25 miles on the Odometer ... heading to Corpus Christi today for XMAS to see mom in my new 425 horse open sleight! Too bad there are not that many hills between Houston and Corpus ....

to (my kids') grandmothers house we go in a one (425) horse open sleight .. over the (freeway) hills we go ... I'll be laughing all the way

Have mercy on this newbie ... See ya'll on the forum!

Merry XMAS!

Congrats on the new car!! I guess we'll be seeing more of you now....not!!! You'll be too busy trying to get the grin off your face from the excitement of driving the beast.

PM HEMEEE to see if she can change your username and keep all your info and threads intact. Another board I used to frequent did that for me, I imagine this board can too, but it takes admin privileges.

Welcome!

Welcome to the club. Now kiss the family good bye, as they won't be seeing much of you anymore, except in the garage or at the keyboard.

Go ahead, just try and stop driving your sweet new ride. I double dog dare you!

Welcome to the forum. I know that you will enjoy the new ride. am hoping to someday step up to the challenge of an SRT8. Right now the Touring is holding in good sted.

This forum is unlike most others that I frequent. The more you read the threads the more you will understand. Just this very day I reaped the benefits of being a member. THANKS, BIG BOB!!

Oldjoat

Welcome if you are like me I have'nt been able to stop grinning since I got my 300c over a month ago. Wow some kind of a beast.

Oldjoat

Remember this motto to live by. Life not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, rye and coke in the other, body thoroughly used up totally worn out and screaming " WOOHOO what a ride!!
