New SRT-8 owner, selling 300c

Hello everyone, great site! THis is my first post, and have been reading through the forum, and there is a ton of good info here that I am sure I will use. I currently own a 300c, but have just purchased a Brilliant Black SRT8. FYI, I bought it from Dave Smith Motors in Kellog, ID for MSRP. Should be here in about 2 weeks, as I live in Arizona. (the Scottdale dealer wants 15k over sticker!) In the meantime, I will be selling my Silver 300c. I will attach a couple pics. I look forward to contributing and learning what I can from this great site.

P.S. - The black wheels will be going on the SRT8, and and stock SRT8 wheels will be sold on the 300C.

Welcome aboard!! Don't know about selling the SRT wheels, you might regret that.

Really a good bunch of people here! Everyone here has something to add to our understanding of the 300 series, so feel free to post any concerns, questions, insights, mods etc. If you haven't done so, check out the sticky "site rules" ... I wish I had once or twice.

might want to make sure your wheels fit on the srt8 before you say the 300 is to be sold with the srt wheels. the big brakes on the srt8 make most wheels not fit.

Truth is, I am still on the fence about the wheels, thought I would throw that out there and get some feedback from you all.. I guess I will make up my mind once I see the car...the SRT wheels are a good looking wheel..

Welcome aboard, bgreen4. As to wheels, a determining factor on a high performance car (they don't come much higher than the SRT-8) is wheel weight. The SRT wheels are very light. If your black wheels are heavier, I would hold off on the wheel decision for a bit.

Welcome bg, we do have a Buy/Sell forum if you decide to sell the wheels, or if you want to list your C there. My opinion lies strongly with the rest about the wheels... the SRT wheels are beautiful, but that aside, considering the limited production on SRT8's I'd suggest hanging on to all stock parts for this reason as well, or you could very well diminsh future value.

Enjoy the board!

bgreen4,
Sounds like you got a real good price. My brother and his son have always purchased their Dodge pick-ups from Dave Smith Motors. Kellog, Idaho, IS Dave Smith Motors! Can't beat their deals, especially if you live in the Pacific Northwest. Make sure to post pictures after you receive it.

The Chrysler dealer near where I live has an SRT-8 300C which I considered, but they tacked on an extra $5K to the MSRP. I, too, recommend that you reconsider retaining the SRT wheels for the same reason as in other posts, but acknowledge that you may do what you wish with your toys .
