Newb to the forums and to the 300..

Hi all, just bought a 2006 300 with the 3.5 liter. I bought the 3.5 even though I could have had the 300c, because I wanted all the options up front and already have a low 12 second Camaro I race and drive to work, so wanted a strickly cruising machine optioned out. Came with all the possible options available in 2006. Nav, Boston premium sound system, dual cimate control, leather, heated seats, u connect, sat radio, adjustable peddles, sunroof, california burlwood interior upgrade, chrome upgrades...can't remember all of the options. I also added a K&N filter. Dealer gave me a good deal(is used car) so couldn't pass it up. The dealer included in the deal added 22 inch Panther wheels(chrome) with Pirelli scorpion tires, think brand is E&G Grill(nice quality piece), illegal tint on all the windows(we can't put anything dark on here in Washington) and about 1/4 of the way down on front window too, they already had all the badges off and added red/white/blue 300 classic emblems all the way around. Not sure if I like the red/white/blue, but overall the car look really nice, spotless interior and no dings at all. Until the other night, some #$%$#^%$%&% kids(about 16 years old) 2 boys, threw a brick off a overpass and hit the top of my car between the Sat antenna and the sunroof. Overall damage was minimum and only 2 minor dings and some scraped paint...could have been worse and if I was packing, things may have really got out of hand... I was very pissed and stop in the fast lane on the highway. Was no way to catch them, would have had to drive 1 mile to exit and then circle around and they would have been gone.

here is a picture of the ride...

Thanks!, I've already thought about ordering some stainless trim around wheel well and the chrome door handle covers. Off white wasn't my first choice(silver was), but I think it looks classy and like it more every day. Really like the ride quality with 22's too.. It rides better than my 2002 Z28 with 17's and 275/40/17 tires. Are you on a air ride suspension? My front wheels slightly rub the fender and you look alot lower than me. your wheels are killer and there is nothing better than a polished black car.

Welcome to the forums rotwiler. We had a rash of people throwing rocks off overpasses here a few years ago. One of them worked for me and bragged about it, so I proudly turned him in. These idiots don't realize they could kill people. You're lucky it didn't go through your windshield. Sounds like they put the Heritage Edition badges on your car. Personally I don't care for them. Too Pepsi looking to me. Your car look beautiful though. Have fun.

Thanks, I agree with the emblems, the red/white/blue just doesn't do it for me, but others like it... The brick missed the sunroof by about 6 inches so I was lucky. The state patrol didn't even do anything, they said it has happened there alot and since it wasn't a accident(was vanadlism) that they couldn't even file a report, but gave me his card so I could let the insurance company know if there were any questions. Car is so high it is barley noticable and shouldn't cost too much to fix, damage was very minimal

rotwiler welcome to the forums from our 300Cs in WV! VERY nice looking ride you have there, and sounds like it was a great deal too!

Can you proivde a close up of that quarter panel badge (birdeye from just off-angle, and at a more severe angle)? I have been looking all over for an individual badge like that for my Heritage Edition Engine cover. I'd like to know if I could get one and for how much. Is there a chrome edge to it, and what thickness does the badge have?

Please ask your dealer how I might order one and PM the info to me. THANKS and again... WELCOME!

I'd suggest getting those mud flaps color matched as well...

This is the only semi close up I have of the badges. In the blue area it says classic.

Ya, I wish... the way the road is and the setup of the pedestrian overpass, there is no way to exit at all. I guess I will leave it alone for now, if they try it again I am going to camp out for a week and catch them. The damage is very minimal, I was doing 60, so it hit the top, and bouced, didn't do any damage anywhere else and the area it hit is pretty flexible, so fixing it will be simple. The sound it made when it hit the top was very loud..I instantly knew what happened. Could have been worse though. Can't even tell I happened unless I point it out to someone or if someone is in a truck that is higher up and can see down on it. Insusrance company is slow though to send a appraiser..been 7 days now.. I may use this for a opportunity to do something custom..like 2 tone if I see a setup I like.
