Hello From Alaska

Hello all. I have been lurking for a month now. You have a great forum with great info. The interaction, feedback and sharing of knowledge (from what I have observed) is outstanding.

I purchased and took delivery of my Black SRT8 on July 1, after lusting for a 300 model since their introduction. As there is a time for everything, it was my B-day present to myself! (Hey, if I don't take care of me, who else will?) I am very happy with it so far.

Looking forward to adding accessories and mods as my pennies allow. 22Elite center console armrests/ door pads; LED turn signal mirror caps; shifter knob are in my immediate scope.

I have already learned a great deal about and for my SRT8 from reading the different threads. I hope to be able to contribute in due time. Thank you to all members of this forum.

Ok. Gotta go for a drive.

Thank you. I saw in your profile that you are in Alaska. I am also. I'm in Anchorage! I am having fun with it. I thought about an AWD model. But I have a Jeep Commander which I would drive in snow. I Wanted another "sports car" per se', as I had a Mazda RX8. So it was a no-brainer for me to go SRT. It fits the bill and some.

Again, Thanks for the welcome.

Gary

Thank you for the welcome.

I love the 300c too. I got the SRT because I wanted another sports/ fast car (had a Mazda RX8), something bigger, yet classy. I didn't know if all three of those could exist in one vehicle. I found it in the SRT8. It didn't hurt that the day I bought it, the dealership called me and said run down there. I got it under the Employee Pricing campaign they were running. The manager of the dealership said they were in a meeting and it was said that the SRT models were included. They thought it was a mistake, but it was true! I had looked at this model, as it was on the showroom floor for about a month. I had made an offer on it about a week earlier, but my payments were not where I was comfortable. I could have purchased a 300c AWD, but I already had a Jeep Commander. So when the Employee Pricing thing happened, they called me that morning about 9:30 am on July 1st. The rest my friend, is history..................

And yes, it is already cool outside. Termination dust is on mountain already. My baby will be in the garage for winter.

I will post pics soon.

The welcome is appreciated!
