Smile Phil

I was looking for info about the hidden hitch and found this site, looks great! I'm a member of a similar site for my race car and it has been very helpful. I had that flicking light problem and knew the TSB for it so I posted it, hope it helps some members.

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, that would be about 7 hours north of Montana. I have a 2006 Cool Vanilla 300C and love it, awesome performance, but lousy gas mileage for a daily driver (the Z06 Vette gets better gas mileage). I have 5 cars in total; the 300C, a GMC truck, a Vette, a fiberglass street dune buggy, and a Sports Racer (a road race car). I have won western Canadian and provincial road racing championships. (Times are good in Alberta now!)

I wanted a 300 SRT8, but I would use it and the truck as my daily drivers and the SRT8 doesn't come with a block heater nor, I'm told, does it have a fitting for one. At -35C during the winter all cars require one, so I settled for the 300C. (ah, the sacrifices we have to make!)

I'm extremely busy so probably won't be a regular visitor, but will stop by from time to time. Thanks for all your contributions.

Phil

Welcome to the forums. Phil. Glad to hear this site was able to help you out. I'm surprised to hear that you get poor mileage on your C as I can't attest to that for me. Care to share your average mileage?

Make sure to drop by once in a while and share what's going on or even to post some pics.

Welcome to the forums Phil and congratulations on having a really nice sounding stable of vehicles to rely on. This place does contain quite a bit of information. We also have many helpful members who are willing to assist. Unlike other forums we don’t beat or harass our new members. So post some pics of your stable when you get a chance.

Mileage

I get 19.8 mpg on the highway cruising at 130K Km/h (about 75-80 Mph). Lots of open space up here.

Welcome aboard. Block heaters are not needed in Houston, Texas but cold AC is a must. Enjoy your ride.

Welcome to the forum Phil and congratulations on your new ride. Nice collection of vehicles you have there! You must have a huge garage! I would love to see a picture of your collection.
