Welcome, I see you just joined 3 days ago. Just a guess here, but there may be a restriction for new users for a set period of time until PM's are available.

Not sure what you mean, but it seems like your able to post just like you've done in the past. Explain what you're trying to do.

I'm guessing you used quick reply at the bottom. If you want to start a new thread go to the top level of the particular forum (where you can see the list of topics) and you should be able to see "New Topic" right above and right below the list on the left.
Hope that helps

edit: Oh and Sorry JGarrison if you're speaking about etiquette it's absolutely fine to reply in threads, that's what it's all about sharing your ideas and issues not to mention asking questions and welcome to the forum!

Oh I didn't mean etiq, I just meant I can't send out PM's. There were a few people I had questions for on their setups and wanted to write them, but can't. But I can post new threads and reply etc, just was confused.

How To Post A New Thread

When you establish that you DO want to create a new thread this is what you do...

1) Go to the Forums Page and decide which forum is best for your new thread > open the forum

2) You will arrive at a list of all threads in that forum. At the TOP LEFT corner of the list you will see a small gray box that says "new thread"... - - click it

3) It will look just like any reply window you have used in the past, but you must enter text in the "Title" line... this will be your thread title so be brief and precise and check spelling since only Admin can change thread titles once submitted. All thread titles must be work-safe and contain no profanity. If your thread will include material that is not work-safe, it must be placed in the "Off Topic" forum and the title must be labeled "NWS" (not work-safe)

4) Proceed to post as you would in any other thread

PM's and New Members
There have been a few questions on this lately, so here's the scoop:

New members must be active 10 days and have 10 legitimate posts in order to activate private message privileges.

Both criteria must be met, at which time you will then be able to turn on the PM function in your User Control Panel.

Potential site-supporting vendors may use the "contact us" email link found in the navigation bar at the bottom of any forum page to bypass this PM moratorium and request info. regarding our sponsor program.

Thank you- HEMEE
