Introduction (moved)

Hello all, I thought I would take the chance to introduce myself. I am new to the Chrylser side of things, never having owned one. My parents/siblings have had several Caravan, but I hardly think that counts in this forum. I recently acquired a 2006 300C SRT8 and must say WOW!!!! Having driven Porsche's, BMW's and MB's most of my time, I am throughly impressed. The torque out of this car is amazing and now I am thinking I should take my deposit off a 2008 M5 and keep this thing and buy another toy for the garage!! I definitely see the fun in this car and now proudly say "This thing HAS a BIG Hemi in it!!!!"

My only complaint it that I need new tires, since mine were already wearing and my aggressive driving has not helped. Boy are these tires hard to find in this size!!! It seems like I am limited to the Goodyears, which I think are not very good for everyday use or Kumho's, not too sure about those but have heard good things. I managed to find a Toyo that would fit, but other than that nothing. Any other suggestions would be good.

Well, thanks for listening/reading and I hope to pick all the brains here for Chrylser advice.

Newto300.

Welcome AGAIN!!!...haha. If you have the F1 tires, longivity is not one of their best assets, but it's sure fun making them go away. I ended up buying replacement OEM F1's from my dealer cuz believe it or not they were cheaper than at Goodyear. Not by a whole lot, but still cheaper. Actually I'm glad I bought them from the dealer because I have an extended warranty that covers tire road hazard. That's something that's no longer available in most cases.

IS there an echo in here tonight? Welcome again from me... there are other tire options, but most I think fall under "truck" tire criteria.

Welcome to the forums. Nice to hear you value the performance of this vehicle considering what you have driven in the past. There are lots of tire/rim options for this vehicle. Make sure you check out the dedicated thread: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/wheel-tire-discussion/

Enjoy your new ride.

WOW thanks for the warm reception. You guys have been really helpful. I will take a look at the tire/rim discussion thread and see if those options help.

Hi Newto300,
You soon won't be so new but will you then change your nom-de-plume - doubt it!! Anyway a warm international welcome from Scotland - just do this to prove that the 300C's pop up everywhere.
Cheers John

You have heard from a Canadian owner, me!!!...haha. You just didn't know it. I don't drive mine in the winter, matter of fact even when it's raining. These things handle just fine though, but you're gonna need winter tires for sure. If you have RSA tires, I suppose you could get by, but definately not the F1's if your car came with those.

You've already been in this thread - http://www.300cforums.com/forums/srt...t=winter+tires, so you have an idea what's available for us. There are many other threads on this as well, including the option of using Pirelli Scorpion Ice/Snow 255/45/20's with your OEM wheels. All the other tire options require going with 18" wheels of which there are now 3 choices.
