300C in STL

First time post and hello to the forum. New 300C owner after deciding to switch from motorcycles. So far, I could not be happier with the switch. Glad to see that there are forums for the 300C that are as passionate as the forums were for motorcycles. Looking forward to lurking for a bit and learning all I can. If there are any members in STL, MO and you guys get together at any time, please let me know. I have a 2006 Cool Vanilla Heritage Edition with the DUB package. She sits on 22's with Hankook Ventus ST's. My other car, daily ride, is a 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. I intend to keep low miles on the 300C. I'm 44, with wife and two kids. During the day, I practice law with my father- mostly business and family law. Seems the rest of my time is helping to foster my 10 year old son's baseball career so he can get a scholarship and be an early round draft pick. Glad to come on board and make some new friends.

Welcome to the forum!! Been in your woods a lot over the years... grew up in Keokuk Iowa (on the northern border of MO), had an uncle who lived in Bridgeton... then I recruited in Litchfield IL, about 55 miles north on I55 from 98-01..

Looks like you got your hands full there at home!

Hi Les,
Nice to have you on the forum. Just remember your 300C is slightly wider than a motorcycle or you will be bang in bother. Your Cool Vanilla is one colour which is not available over in the UK and we don't have the range of models you do. Actually we only have the one model which is really pretty well equipped plus a couple of upgrade "packs" On the other hand we get a damn good car, well appointed for a great price. Our Touring is actually a Dodge Magnum with a 300C front end added and not a model designation as it is in the States.
Anyway you will have guessed that I am not remotely local but am in Scotland. So an international welcome for you.
Cheers John

Congratulations on the purchase of your 300c H.E.! You will find loads of information here regarding your edition and I believe we do have several members from around your area. Don't forget to check the local forums.

Also, our esteemed member GoofyTimL would love to have you stop by the link below and register the VIN# and Build Date for your special H.E. Specific instructions can be found in the first post.

Welcome to the forums!
bruno

Yes... WELCOME from our West Virginia LXs (one of which is an IR H.E.) in the Mid-Ohio River Valley!

I think Cool Vanilla is one of the least chosen colors for the H.E., so you've got a rare beauty there. I hope that when you return to posting you will visit my Build Sequence thread that bruno so kindly referred to. Although there were 4615 2006 Heritage Editions produced, we've only registered around 60 total... and you will be another.

Glad to have you hear, and I look forward to what you will contribute to this family business!

Cueball, I notice we have the same sound packages on our cars. Can you tell me where I would find the amp and subwoofer that are supposedly in my 300? they are not visible in the trunk so I am curious if they are beneath the trunk or located in a door? Appreciate the heads up.

You can't. When your PM privileges get turned on (10 days, 10 posts) PM a MOd... either me or Northern Rider and we'll come do it for you.

Its directly behind the headlight switch in the dash. ( The amp) The subwoofer is really small, on the back package shelf/seat

Welcome to the Club.
Check out this link,
Gateway Motorsports Club - Powered by vBulletin

There a local group of Car guys. It started as a LX only but they expanded. You just missed an outing on the Great River road Saturday.
I'm sure if you join up with them we'll meet sometime. I'm in the WindyCity chapter of the LX family. And I've been seen a couple time in the Wildwood area. HEHE.
Also we have a big Regional meet coming up in April.
