It'll be here soon!!

Hello from Milton Keynes in England!! (it's just about right in the middle)

Well, after admiring the 300c since it was launched in the UK about 2 years ago I finally managed to buy one.

It's Brilliant Black with 20" Startech wheels, Startech Bentley Grill and the "Luxury Pack", 18 months old with 16K on the clock, in immaculate condition and I collect it on Nov 21. The only downside if you can call it that is that it's a 3.0 V6 diesel, and I say "if you can call it that" because unleaded petrol is $8.44/gallon(US) and diesel is about the same but I'll get alot more miles to the gallon. Plus the road tax is a real killer on petrol cars - so I am really happy with my choice.

I'm looking to put a few goodies on it, particularly the Startech Front Spoiler or something like it, the boot or trunk spoiler and the chrome door pillar covers. Does anyone know the best value places to get kind of stuff - I'll see if they ship to the UK.

Also can you "chip" the engine to get a few more bhp?

I can't wait.

Welcome BigIan!!! Congratulations on your purchase! There's plenty of information here on what your looking to do, but it's probably better for you to post in the European and Diesel Powered 300C Discussion forum to ask specifics on chipping your CRD - http://www.300cforums.com/forums/eur...0c-discussion/.

We have tons of UK and other European members here who are more than willing to answer your questions.

Well, it never hurts to say hello that's for sure. You posted it in the right area, but I was just thinking the European crowd is more in the know for the questions you're asking, especially on CRD's. Everyone's pretty friendly here, so just jump in!!!

Hi Again, BigIan,
Told you that you would get your welcomes over here. They really are a nice bunch of lads.
A friend of mine told me that some of the dealers watch the postings and hence not too much mention should be made of chipping. Once you can send and recieve private messages (PM's) drop me one and I will pass you along to my pal who has chipped his car He swears by it.
Cheers John
