Welcome from Hotlanta!! Not sure on the whine noise though. I am sure if you post that up in the engine section of this forum you will get a hit.

Welcome to the forum. Is this whine noise coming from the engine after it is warmed up and been run at freeway speeds for a while or during warm days?

If so, the 6.1L engine is equipped with oil "squirters" that spray the underside of the piston for additional cooling and they do make a weird noise.

Oh, it's that kind of whine. Well, idler pulleys seem to be the biggest culprit. Check that first. Hopefully it isn't a PS pump, alternator or A/C compressor bearing.

You can spray WD40, will help a little but the noise will eventually come back as it dries up. With the engine on, carefully taking care spray individually at each pivot. You may be able to determine the source if the noise goes away immediately. Good luck
