Will do as soon as I can

I may see him this weekend. He can use a little light work to keep in shape.

(BTW, BigBob is the only one packing-his cane is 45 caliber)

A fun time was had by all out on Long Ghiland

Awesome pics & story, Chas. And ya' got to run a highly modded '55 Chevy!!! And in in full view of a cast of thousands!!! OMG!! What a rush!!

Next time you'll have your Magnaflows screaming, but I tell ya, you gotta get the torque mod if there's that many people watchin' ya Chas--gotta be leaving that white tire smoke trail in your wake if you're gonna be running an LX Hemi in public view! Gotta be doing us even prouder, bro.

For perspective, just think how much would be missing if the Thunderbirds or the Blues didn't run smoke.

You said it

I think the Chevy was breaking my chops. But it was fun. Next time I'll have the Magnalfows on and the ESP OFF. Gotta leave a little rubber on the tarmac. (maybe I'll spray some cooking oil on my rear tires before going up to the line. I'll smell like a salad, but I betcha I'll do a nice burnout.

BTW, who makes your grille and duct inserts? I'm particularly taken by the duct treatment.

hey guys im terribly sorry i couldnt join yall and make it out for the meet. the 9/11 meet fell through as well if i recall, but i would really like to meet some of you fellow yankees and see your cars in person. if this is still going on every weekend, i will definatly make it down before the weather gets bad. please understand that its more of a 5+ hour trip for me from upstate, but that still isnt stopping me. all of your cars look great by the way!

chas-if vinny pastore is infact an old highschool buddy, id come down there even faster to meet him. im a huge fan of his and meeting him would sure be a pleasure. if i recall, he owns a restaraunt up in albany (? i think it was albany) that i ate at before.

Yes it's true

Not only did we grow up in the same neighborhood, but our kids even dated in high school (my son and his daughter)/.

To my knowledge he's never owned a restuarant in Albany.

I'll let you know next time we do something. Anything half way up to Binghamton? Maybe we can come up there?

Hi Chasb:

I am sure you guys had a great time. I wish I was there. I have a 300C and I would like to upgrade my grill with the mesh grill. Can you recommend a shop on Long Island near the Baldwin/Freeport Area for me?

I really appreciate it.

Thanks

CARS CARS CARS is the only way to describe this. Everything from 32 hot rods to old and new vettes, vintage and new GTO's, 40 fords, 50 and 60's Chevy's, vipers, mustangs, MOPARS galore, GT40's old and new, cobras, bikes---ENDLESS.

I followed an Austin Healey on a tube chassis with a blown small block chevy motor in it. We toyed around with each other all the way down an eight mile road on the way to the beach lot. The last mile he slammed it and it was hyper space, leaving me in a vapor trail.

It was a good day all around There were 2 other LXers An R/T Magnum 6.1 and a new Charget R/T (both black). Couldnt get anyone else to show though. This thing happens every week, weather permitting!. I got there at 7:00am and there were already 9 cars in spaces staking out territory.(???) About a half hour later I knew why. Cars by the dozens pulling in., ockeying for space--vette guys putting cones down to save spaces for other vettes, etc etc etc.

Pics are great. The experience was UNREAL

NOW FOR THE BEST PART--- THIS IS NO ****

Coming out when leaving I end up next to a nice 55 chevy with two HUGE four barrels sticking out of the hood.

Eveyone apparently races (no mater who or what) on the way out, and there is a HUGE crowd at the ramp onto the 2 lane road (which runs about 15 miles straight as an arrow. This guy sounded like the summer nationals next to me.

Off we go-he hole shots me by about a half. I catch up to him at 60 and we proceed to stay flat out neck and neck until I hit 115 and got off it. He throws me the thumbs up and keeps going straight out and I hit the u-turn a hundred yards later to come back to New Rochelle. What a rush.

(I'm sure he was playing with me)

Only thing is I left ESP on and couldn't do any burnout first like everyone else.
