East Coast Test 'N Tune Track Day: Saturday October 29th, Englishtown, NJ

Fall HHP LXForums Test 'N Tune Track Day

Open To All Makes & Models (see below)

Where: Englishtown Raceway, Englishtown, NJ
Date: Saturday, October 29th, 2005
Time: 10am (track is open by 9am)

After the great time we had at the East Coast Meet 'N Greet, the demand is high for another event this fall for all of us to get together and have some more fun at the track. This event will be a full racing event as we will have our own lanes again and unlimited runs on Englishtown's world class dragstrip. There's also plenty of room for spectators, too. For our August event we had members traveling as far as 5 hours to attend and these same guys will be coming back again for this event for a reason. We have fun!

Open Class:
We set this event up for the 300C, Magnum and Charger forum members but all vehicle owners are invited to come out and race. We already have a lot of RSVP's from the LX owners and we have also invited all of the CTS-V owners in the region and a number of them are going to be traveling up from the DC, Baltimore and VA area with the Moore Cadillac Racing Team who is joining with us and will be putting on a drifting exhibition and will also be running their CTS-V on the track. Of course we'll have our HHP Mustangs and SRT-4 out, too, so there will be a mix of cars and you're welcome to bring any vehicle you wish. Predominantly, the vast majority of vehicles in attendance will be the 300C's, Magnums and Chargers.

Price:
Saturday track prices are on average $25.00 to race, $12.00 to spectate. This fee goes directly to the track, not HHP, and all you need to do is show up and pay to race at the entrance. Tell them you're with the HHP LX Forums track day and they will assign you to our lanes in the staging area. Other expenses you can expect are food costs. Englishtown has a great concessions area and food and drinks will be available.

If you've never raced before, this is a great chance to see what it's like. We had a lot of guys on the track for the first time at the May Meet 'N Greet and they will tell you how much fun it is. Nervous and not sure how to race? There's plenty of seasoned amatuers ready to discuss every aspect of the track.

Requirements to Race:
In order to race, cars must have mufflers and seat belts (draining the coolant is not required) and drivers must wear helmets (full-face Snell-approved for cars under 13.5s in the 1/4 mile). They do rent helmets at the track for three or four dollars so you don't need to go out and buy one if you don't already have one. Also, racers must wear long pants, a shirt with sleeves (t-shirt) and shoes are a must (no flip flops or sandals). You must be at least 17 years old to race but if you are 17, you must have a parent present to sign the waiver.

We will set up a bracket for everyone that's interested in participating and offer a few prizes as well. This will be a fun event for everyone and everyone is welcome to attend, LX owner or not. Come checkout all of the performance mods that are available, too, because you can rest assured that there's going to be someone who has that next mod, from superchargers to exhausts, you're thinking about doing next. See you guys there!

With a large vehicle turnout expected

How may times do you think we would get to run? I'd like to make maybe three or four runs if possible

The number of runs we receive will be unlimited. You can probably get in at least a dozen runs if you race all day. Normal admission usually nets you three runs at Englishtown but we have it set up with the track to receive unlimited runs for our events.

This event is open to all makes and models but I expect that the turnout will predominantly be the Mopar cars.

We expect a small to medium size turnout of CTS-V's as this is the first time they are going to be joining us and there will be a small handful of Mustangs, including my own (please keep the insults to a minimum, lol) and a couple other HHP guys'. Other than our invite to Moore Motorsports out of VA whom we work with a good bit and their CTS-V following, this event is set up for the Mopars and we are only advertising it as a Mopar car event. If you want to bring another car, please feel free. We'll probably take four staging lanes, and depending on turnout, we'll more than likely make one or two just Mopar, one a just CTS-V lane and another a mixed lane for all of the other cars or anyone wanting to do grudge matches.

See you there!
Joshua, HHP

We would like to get an estimate for attendance on the 29th so that we can let Englishtown know exactly what we will need. We are running a poll and ask for your participation in it. In order to have only one list, I apologize for the poll being on a different forum, though most of you guys are members of both forums and this shouldn't be a problem. Here's a link to the attendance list:

If the ride is more fly, you must attend !!

Dont miss out on this guys the 300's were in short supply at the last event. Poor Brilliant Black Hemi was the lone 300 LX'er there. We recruited Ed a 70+ guy that was breaking in his new ride

You will get as many trips down the 1320 as you can stand ! I did a test and tune day at a local track and got 7 runs in and i know I skipped serveral cooling the car down, so at this event you should get 10+ if you want.

Come on down or up or over !

-Robert

Are there going to be vendors there? Interested in buying some parts. I have to work that day but I start at 10pm so I am thinking of swinging through. Tell us more about other activities

There won't be any manufacturers at this Saturday's event as this is not a real Meet 'N Greet but more of a track day, i.e. an excuse for everyone to get together and have some fun hanging out with all of the other local 300C, Magnum and Charger owners. It also gives everyone the chance to see and hear all of the mods you've heard so much about. The next big East Coast Meet 'N Greet is currently scheduled for May at Englishtown and will take place during a big Dodge event they are hosting. We don't bring any parts unless they have been requested beforehand as we're not there to push parts. We host these events more as a way of giving back to all of you guys that support us as customers and it gives us the chance to meet and have some fun with all of you guys, too.
