Know how you feel TB

We had two 3 inchers here in the last 2 days . (I'm in New York about 16 miles north of Manhattain in the suburbs.

My brilliant black baby is my daily driver. I put the stock rims and contis back on and had it out both times when the snow fall was new and once when it was slush and messy. Car handled real well .

But the salt does show on the black. No problem. Car gets washed every week indoors year round.

CAN'T WAIT TIL SPRINGTIME myself.

Which is pretty much the reason I spent this weekend installing your Powerslot rotors and Hawk brake pads package on my 95 Z/28. I really don't think driving the SRT-8 on snow covered roads is going to be a great idea and once CharieD called off this weekend's meet, I thought I'd better finish the brake job. I really hate working in a cold garage. But everything went together fine. Nice quality package at a good price and way better than that offshore stuff they sell on eBay.

That's why we kept the Navigator. I pulled Silver Lightning out of the garage this eveing to take my sons to their Karate class and there was a light srift coming down as I pulled out of the garage. I was about to pull the car back in, but the kids started complaining about being late. Sucked as I don't like driving my play cars in the rain or snow unless I absolutely have to. I'd rather use the Navigator for snow driving. If I had a 300c or RX though, I'd probably feel the same way. Some things you like to baby...

I wish I had a proper winter car. We have a Pacfica but I wanted to save weight so it's only FWD. And, of course, I can't bear to take the 300 out of the garage in the snow. Yesterday with 6 inches predicted and a two-hour trek to Harrisburg, I saddled up my little Ford Focus. It's equipped with traction control, and it is an intrepid little spud in the white stuff.

Yea my Jeep gave up the ghost last night so I had to drive the Magnum home I was talking all the back roads to avoid sand/salt.

I did play with the car in the parking lot. First off I have never owned a car with Anti-Lock brakes. So I got rolling ok and stomp it. Weird would be the best way to explain that. Makes you want to draw up on the peddle when it starts pulsing.

As to the ESP it worked like it should. Once you start a bad slide physics over rides computers and you go where the mass wants to, but up until that point its banging the brakes and throttle to get you sorted out, and does a good job of it. Though it made the car feel like it was coming apart.

I am hitting a no touch tomorrow just to get the ickies off the car.
