Hey Doc,

Good thing this guy didn't see your SRT-8 tooling through Billerica:

Billerica man faces charges in stolen car operation
By Cristina Silva, Globe Staff | February 25, 2006

A Billerica man has been charged with receiving stolen cars, from rare Ferraris to more pedestrian Subarus, officials said, who added that they believed he stripped the cars of parts to resell.

Morgan Kipper, 27, was arrested Monday, along with Elaine Healy, 27, of Nashua, after Merrimack police found four storage units leased to the couple full of stolen vehicles, said Lieutenant Mike Dudash, a Merrimack police spokesman.

Kipper and Healy were arrested inside the Why Self Storage on John Tyler Street in Merrimack as police were preparing to search the storage units, Dudash said.

Inside the units, officers found a 1995 Ferrari 355 valued at up to $100,000 that had been stolen from a car dealership in Acton and a Subaru that had been stolen from Hudson, N.H., Dudash said. The Subaru was in the process of being stripped, he said.

New Hampshire police began investigating Kipper after they found several stripped vehicles abandoned near the Nashua Fish & Game Club off Al Paul Lane in Merrimack several months ago, Dudash said. One of the abandoned vehicles led police to the storage facility.

Dudash would not say what led the officers to the storage units.

Kipper was charged with four counts of receiving stolen property, and Healy was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, Dudash said.

They were both arraigned in Merrimack District Court Tuesday, where no plea was entered. Kipper's bail was set at $20,000. Healy was released on a $20,000 cash bail, Dudash said.

Massachusetts State Police obtained a warrant to search Kipper's Sterling Road home in Billerica on Thursday. There, police found ''a large number of stolen auto parts," a $60,000 Porsche, and a stolen Subaru Impreza valued at $35,000, said State Trooper Thomas Ryan.

State Police plan to charge Kipper with multiple counts of receiving stolen motor vehicles, Ryan said.

''It's fair to say that New Hampshire was looking at him for events similar to why we were looking at him," Ryan said.

Holy crap!!! I'm seconds away from Sterling Rd, although I don't think there are any homes, it was probably a garage or storage facility. Good thing my V is garaged. Yikes!

Hot damn!! It may be my imagination, but that kid looks very familiar! Minor point, but that is Sylvan Rd, not Sterling.
