I heard that some vendors were locking the cars and not allowing anyone to enter yesterday because of some kind of gang related activity. Seems some gang members thought it was funny to slash seats and throw ink in some interiors. Did you notice any locked cars?

WHAT ???
That is totally outrageous! Tells me .."Stay away from there".
I would hate to think that I had a $200,000 show car on display,
and would have to have Armed Guards around it.
So depressing
.

Yes the better cars are locked. Very disapointing. Exhibitors told me that this NY show is one of the toughest. They have had alot of trouble in the past. They said this year they are being proactive about it. Also these show cars after NY are sold at very good discounts. I did see a group of very loud obnoxious folks in an Infinity really blasting a rap CD they had put in it and rocking the car. The show folks were paying close attention. They seemed to be in the car for a long time. I could not be bothered and after the initial surprised attention got the hell away.

Just got back from the Show. Compared to Philly, the show is much better. There were enough cars open to look at. The SRT 8 was displayed in an odd area and didn't even have an info plaque or any kind of sign that it was an SRT 8. The dealer who was representing Chrysler was from the local City Chrysler dealer. I mentioned the SRT 8 and said I was the only one who even questioned him on it. What was even funnier was the fact he told me that he was told by his dealership that they can't even order an SRT 8 if they wanted to. They weren't allowed............it was the end of the discussion as I casually walked away.......

As far as the Magnum SRT 8, i was surprised at how cheap the interior looked compared to the 300 SRT 8.
