Out of state tint requirement

Thanks for the info. For the time being, I open up my sunroof cover and drive. This way alot more light is let in and the tint looks lighter. But it is still a pain in the ass to have to dodge cops all the time.

As long as your vehicle is still legally registered in Georgia, or whatever state you are from, then technically you can drive with your tinted windows with no legal recourse. I'm not saying that you won't receive a summons for it, most likely you will not for that offense alone, but, like the above poster stated "if you are traveling 20+ mph over the speed limit" you can expect what ever citations the officer writes you. Bottom line, don't sweat the tints in NY as long as you aren't drawing attention to yourself for multiple reasons. hope this helps. FYI, this is for NEW YORK, good luck in others.
