New guy in the NE

Hey,

Check out my first post here so you get an idea of where I am coming from. Unfortunately I can't post it here till I have 4 posts. Hopefully 300Cforums.com is a mature, tech minded, enthusiast website. Do you guys think of it that way?

Anyways, good to meet you! I don't have the car yet but will soon. It is on order.

I am in NJ. Hopefully the car will be in around 6-8 weeks. Anyone ever order one before? What was your experience?

Thumbs up

I just read the specs on your GTO and happy to meet you and glad you got a 300 and are into racing... ........I have a AWD 300C with all options and a new Stage 2 Hemi 5.7........the last run at the track I got 13.158 @ 103.58....with a R/T of .000.......with a 4600+lb sedan.....without using my Nitrous...are you going to do the performance mods to your 300 like your GTO........we then got to talk...

Congratulations on your new arrival and Welcome to this great forum....

I am probably going to go very mild on this one. I am going to probably concentrate a little bit more on the motorcycle.

I can forsee headers, catback, intake. Typical bolts on would be as far as I go with this car. What do you guys use for tuning software? I haven't had time to see if theres a "tuning/dyno" area of the forum but I didn't see one. Looks like you guys are stuck with a lot of mail order type tunes. That doesn't make me happy so far.

As far as tuning.....most of us started with SuperChips........but since the Diablo came out with a better one......and I, including others get to the dyno shop for tuning...

What are the dyno shops using to tune program wise and equipment wise?

For the GTO guys (acutally all Gen III/IV LSx), Diablos tuner (same as for this car) was a joke compared to what you could do with HP Tuners.
