Captree

It was awesome getting out and seeing all the LX-ers on Sunday at Captree! I have to admit, I almost pussed out on Mike at 6:30am, but am certainly glad I decided to man-up and go (it's so damn early though)! It's been a while since I've been down there and I have to say I was pretty impressed with the number of LX-ers there! Now we just need to plan it a little better where we all meet outside Captree and drive in together so the line-up in the parking lot is impressive.

I agree with ya Joe. It was a great turn out, better than I thought.

It was my first LX event and had a great time meeting up with Will, Mike and Jim. There were LX-er's that I met but can't remember everyone's name so I hope I'm not offending anyone.

Jim, maybe we can meet up @ OBI parking lot before going to Captree.......

Pete

Not sure if your Jim means me.... Joe. Anyway, I know what you mean. You meet a bunch of new people and try hard to keep the face and name together, but it's near impossible. So, not a bad idea to meet at OBI. I was thinking of somewhere that we could all get some coffee and take a few minutes to chill and gather everyone together before driving to the beach. Any more ideas?

I would say somewhere near robert moses and the southern state pkwy would be a good meeting area. What do you boys think?

Pete is was nice meeting you. The term small world is ever so much true. We both bought our cars from the same dealer in NC from the same sales person and both live in the state of NY. Talk about the moons aligning...lol

Yes, I did mean to say Joe.......sorry about that Joe. It was a pleasure meeting you on Sunday. There may be a Diner off of Montauk Hwy which is not far from the Southern State. I would have to take a ride and or check out that area (I think that would be the town of Bayshore/Brigh****er) and see if there is a Diner with good parking that would accomodate us.

Will, the pleasure was all mine, and yes, it is a small world. What was also really amazing is that I could have parked in any other spot and probably would not have met up with you as there was such an incredible turn out of car enthusiasts.

I'm thinking it is every Sunday, weather permitting. From what I have heard the time people start gathering is about 7:00AM.
