Long Island GTG

Okay guys lets keep this simple. Hows about getting together here on the Island? Picked up my 300C on friday night. I know there has to be loads of 300 owners out here, they're all over the place! My son and his GTO buddies meet at Jillian's in Farmingdale on Rt. 110. I think thats a convenient place as it's on the Nassau/Suffolk border. They're having a meet July 10th which is a Sunday. Nice big parking lot. The Impala club I used to belong to met at Hooters every few sundays so that can be a good place too. They alternate between East Meadow and Islandia to make it fair to everyone. Hope this works.

Farmingdale is a center point, and its not in the middle of nowhere. Its only fair to meet there for everyone. How would you like to travel across the Island instead of driving to the middle. Eventhough it may benefit you to meet in the Hamptons, you have to think about everyone.

Even though the Hamptons are beautiful this time of the year I'm trying to make the get together convenient for all. This way we can get some of the people from the surrounding boroughs of NYC as well. Think about all the traffic on the L.I.E. from all the people leaving the Hamptons on a sunday afternoon. Maybe a cruise to the Hamptons could be planned someday off season.

Okay I guess no one is interested in a get together. Bummer. All these cars and we can't get 2 together. My son who is only 17 has a GTO and has 19 cars coming to a GTG and they only built a thousand a month. The Impala SS club I belonged to always had 80 to 100 members and at least 30 of them always showed up at meetings. After 10 years they're still going strong. Whats wrong here? My neighbor says it's because "the 300 is an old farts car". Do you guys think he's right? LOL. Guess i'll just have to amuse myself by sitting here and reading the forums.

Hey from New Rochelle

Hamptons is a hike for me too

Anywhere in closer Nassau might not be too bad, especially for the guys that may come from upstate

I'm about a half hour north of the Throgs Neck bridge
