Lakers...

Attn All Minnesotans

I think thats what people from Minnesota are called, but anyways...

I just wanted to apologize ahead of time for the a$$ kicking that the Timberwolves are about to receive from the Lakers

That goes out to the winner of the Eastern Conference too!

I dunno, this section of the boards is really dead so I just wanted to start a new thread.

Man I hope so, for a while I thought that the Lakers weren't going to get passed the Spurs. I’m glad that they did I couldn't stand the way that biotch Tony Parker was parading around with his chest all sticking out like he had done something. I know that he is only 21, but come on show some respect!

I couldnt agree with you more! I was really getting pissed off watching him run down the floor. I was thinking to myself "damn hes cocky for not being that great"

Dont get me wrong, he's a very good player with a lot of talent, but he can only play "HIS" way. If hes not penetrating the lane then he's garbage. Hes not good at making adjustments, and thats what youve got to do to be great. Once the Lakers stopped him from driving the lane, he didnt do ish!

Id like to see the Lakers get a win tonight on the road. It would be good for them to win the series opener on the road....

Quit spewing out that blasphemy, I hope that Kobe doesn’t go anywhere. Shaq can’t do it alone, the Lakers need Kobe, and with a few additional players they’re well on there way to becoming a dynasty.

It's The Team - Not Kobe!

Kobe is not "really" a franchise player! He would be much less effective in another team without another dominate player or Shaq. Shaq is the Franchise Player and there are many other players that could support him and have a winning season.

Case in Point - Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippin were much less effective without each other on other teams.

This isnt necessarily true. How could anyone really know how he would be without Shaq. If youre going to say that, then isnt it safe to say that Kobe would be better without Shaq because he wouldnt have another dominate player on his team. Maybe shaq is holding kobe back from being what he really could possibly be, because Kobe has to allow Shaq to do his thing too.

Shaq takes 20 shots a game (gets fouled on nearly half of them) and scores over 21 a game. If he wasnt there, who would score those points?

I agree about Scottie and MJ, but everyones different. You cant base what 2 players would/could do off of what 2 different players did.
