Wink A Hemi in Every Chrysler?

Pacifica next?
Seems fair:

Maybe Chrysler should just "create" a new division:

Doubt they will build it and doubt it would sell! Eats too much gas. I am getting 12mpg. The sales of the Hemi should eventually wane when people find out that the 5.7 liter even with MDS is still a gas hog. V6 engines are paramount for the average consumers.

Hemi Pacifica vs SRX Northstar - for the top end of the mid-sized SUV market. How could it hurt?

It makes one wonder just how long it will be before even the V6 is considered to be too large an engine for the north american market. It seems that the slightest upset in the world either political or catastrophic seems to be having a greater influence on world fuel prices as time goes on.

Hey guys - in Europe, fuel is $4.00 per gallon and more. You really didn't buy a Hemi for the economy, did you?

Do the math - depending on your driving style, figure out how much more per month the Hemi is going to cost you over another vehicle you would be willing to drive (anybody want to trade down to a Prius! )

In my case, the Hemi costs me about $35.00 more per month. The entertainment value, IMO, is worth every penny.

"...the gas is the cheapest part of the car" - enjoy your ride!

How true. I force myself to say the same thing when filling up the boat. But with gas $3.25/gal at the dock these dayz feeding two thirsty 454 Mercruisers (25 gallons per hour) it does take a bit more "nerve".
Whatever happened to blood for oil, darnit!

I was speaking with my nephew who lives in middle east, last weekend at a wedding in Toronto. He pays 24c Us/litr for gas and over 30c per litre for water

I'd make'em all pay 100x for any Western technology they use, but that wouldn't be right now would it?

Does hemi necessarily equal 5.7 or 6.1 liter?

Would everyone $#17 a brick if they cut off two cylinders permanently? For a 4.5 liter 300HP V6?

Or debored and destroked it back to a 4-5 liter? Or scooped out the 4.7's combustion chamber? We may see an influx of marketing insanity here.
