Mannie Fresh used to work as a cashier at a McDonald's inside the Wal-Mart in Laurel, MD. According to my cousin who worked there as well, he couldn't rap then, and he sure as hell can't now. It's all about $$ and setting positive examples for America's youth.

But at least this song extolls the virtues of a high self-esteem. It could be worse...I think its pretty funny myself.

don't worry about these "rappers", sooner or later they'll have to get a job.

I thought this was a 300C forum, not a rap bashing forum. Cars, music and just about everyting else in life, there are choices, if you don't like it don't buy it, don't use it, don't listen to it. Many of you on this forum are ticked when someone bashes the 300C remember this during you next post about rap music. I am not a fan of Manny Fresh (never heard of him before) but if I could make a few dollars yelling some catch phrase belive me I would and I sure you all would too.

Now, back to the 300C, I am patiently awaiting my 300C. Currently entering my 13th week.

P.S. Ordered sirius so I can listen to old school rap

This has come up before in other threads. So I will digress as I have said my peace.

To Ca$h Money - and Manny Fresh - pay the bills the best way you can!!
Now back to the 300C.

I didn't like the 2-tone. IMHO it takes away from the flow of the C. The rims on the other hand were nice.

Again, to each his/her own

Comming Soon - a poll vote for the forums most racists haters!

Stay tuned JJS, Redman, Rogue, Hemeee and the like...your posts are all so comforting and inspired, I love biased rethoric when it comes to people's culture, history and idividuality....well if i suppose if the paint isn't all WHITE then it's not right huh?!!!

Its all about fun not gunz - Mannie fresh is a producer and made this video during a community day in the "GHETTO" (a word you all seem to use but do not know) where he grew up - they laid out serval thousands of dollars to reapir a local health clinic, erect a new rec center there, in addition to presenting scolarships to 3 promising young people - giving them a chance to grab a college education.

Just like somebody gave a black man who grew up in two of the harshest ghettos of racially charged Montreal & Detroit a chance. Was he destined to be another one of the black community's statistics? ...hmmmm - he loved rap music, basketball and admired big modified 'blinged out' cars with DUB's on - but he had little money and was by far no NBA or MTV material, but he was a talented artist and when someone gave him that chance he used it to apply himself like any one else strugglig to escape poverty and degradation - he completed his education went on to design & produce one of Dalimer Chrysler's most respected and best selling vehicle in this new mellenium - The Chrysler 300C - Mr. Ralph Giles we salute you!

When asked by a reporter on how does he stay fresh and in touch with ideals and design influence in the indsutry Mr. Gilles replied:

"What I love to do is just go back to school. I visit my own school, the Center for Creative Studies (Detroit), which is only about 40 miles away. I'm going to be teaching the senior class there in September.

There's nothing fresher than a kid straight out of the streets who perceives the world differently from someone who's working in a corporation.

We are constantly hiring new designers and with that comes freshness. Combine all that -- older, experienced designers, new ones and the designers we get from all over the world and you get a nice, cultural, aesthetic mix."

Cash Money is not my fav group and nither is Mr. M. Manson but i do respect creativity and the quest of being different. The dedication it takes to pull youself up and out...hmmmmm well im sure "non-ghetto" people would know nothing about it.

So kudos to Mannie Fresh who has helped make Cash Money Records one of the most successful independent Hip-Hop labels ever, but when people think of Cash Money they think of one thing, "Bling Bling." The song that helped launch the label to international prominence is one that Mannie now has mixed feelings about he states, "The gift and the curse on us is 'Bling Bling.' That word went from alright to corny. I've seen airlines using it and everybody, so to me it's like the corniest word in the world right now."

Despite the overuse of their term for shiny jewelry Mannie is still having fun, and he hopes that comes across in his music, saying "I just want people to have fun, to get away from life. If it's three minutes and some seconds that's what it's designed to." He openly admits he has no serious message to get across, but in a world where the news is dominated by war, terrorism and high profile rape trail, a lack of fun could be a serious problem for many people.

This noted lack of fun has led Mannie, and his fellow Big Tymer, Birdman, to release another album to remind the world to lossen up a bit. Mannie explains the concept behind the album saying "this coulda been called Hood Rich part two. We don't go to far with the formula, it's just another day in my life that's all." The real title of the album, which is due out December ninth, is "Big Money Heavy Weights" and it's another notch in the duo's belt, a belt that has a lot more notches than they ever expected considering they never thought they'd be recording albums. "We started out as the dudes who did the intros on everybody's album." Mannie explained, adding the reason they ended up doing albums was because "people just took a likin to us."

Despite the success Birdman has seen as a solo artist Mannie doesn't see himself going that route. "I'm not ready for that level," he explained, humbly adding "I don't want that kind of stardom. I don't want to be as popular as Birdman."

The honesty and humility of Mannie Fresh is something a lot of people may not expect, but this down to earth star is quick to point out his misogynistic lyrics are just that, lyrics, and he's no playa. "I've been with the same chick for 14 years, she ain't goin nowhere."

Mannie has another woman in his life, as well. Not in the relationship sense, but in the label owner sense. Cash Money Records recently signed it's first female artist, and she's a veteran in the music industry, Teena Marie. According to Mannie not much will be done to alter Marie's sound. "We're gonna pretty much let Teena Marie do her, she's a legend in her own right and I don't think our sound would compliment her so we're gonna let her do her own thing."

With a new album ready to drop, a new member added to the team, and a focused goal of having fun, Mannie Fresh seems to know exactly what he's doing and where he's going. How many other artists can say that?

Less they forget my seed will remain in the shadows and bear no fruit...less they forget....

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!!!

Geez! Redman & JJS didn't even post to this thread and Rogue's & Magnesium300c's posts can hardly be considered racist. (Magnesium300c and I did, however, exhibit fashion bias (gasp!))

As for your long-winded "everything you ever wanted to know about Mannie Fresh but were afraid to ask" Bio... Thanks, I'm relieved that I can now speak intelligently on the subject the very next time it comes up (under the topic: "Who really gives a s_ _t")

I salute your right to post your opinion along with the rest of us, but I disapprove, vehemently, of your inconsiderate name-calling and unfounded accusations which interfere with my/our enjoyment of this forum.
