Question The Competition: CADILLAC 16 goes on sale?

Is this for real?

Just more impetus for a new Chrysler Imperial I say.
Man, the car market is really getting good.

Gang,

While you are at the Cadillac web site, do the compare all of their models against our 300C and look how we are the same or kick their a$$ and at the same time be 17K under the price of their CTS-V and others. Its unreal and feels good that the "General" is out sink with DC. GM just doesn't get it.

Too bad the 16 is only a concept. It won't be produced. I watched a show on the discovery channel about this car a while back. It is a great car.

Gang,

I don't know who had the idea first, Cad or Chrysler. The reason that I say this is. I was at a Quality trade show in Chicago several years ago (about 97 or 98) and Chrysler had on display a car that look an aufull lot like the "Cad 16". But I believe that it was a V12 instead of a V16.

The "16" is Bob Lutz's idea of a car to compete agaisn't the Maybach. It is truly impressive, but at a retail cost of more than $250,000.00, the powers that be at GM vetoed it already. It would prove to be a very expensive experiment to see if you can sell in the ultra luxury market.
