Hmmmmmm.....let's see.

You've been a member for less than a week, made about a dozen posts so far, and all you've got is to attack the state I live in?? LOL!!!! You are truly making a fantastic first impression here.

I'll just respond with a link to one of your truly insightful posts you made earlier this week regarding another purchase you were considering. Here's the link!

Seems to me that you were smart enough then to ask if the CAI was for the 5.7 or the 6.1. But I guess that would have been too much for you to consider in "this" case, huh??

I especially like your last sentence in that post, referring to yourself. It speaks VOLUMES about you.

You simply made an error when you ordered something that you had absolutely no use for.To expect a vendor to "eat" your mistake is simply put inane.
1) He had to obtain said item from his supplier in order to effect your order
2) From your post you expect him to "eat" the shipping cost to get back
your mistake
3)once he gets the item back,it goes into "dead stock" until someone, who
has a use for the article orders it.

In short,as you have directly put it,you expect James to be out of pocket from the time he acquired your item to the time he effectively sells it while
you sit back and say oh well, I f cked up and it's his lossfor selling it to me.Have I made any wrong conclusions based on the information that you provided??? If I have, please enlighten me and I'll be more than glad to promptly edit my post. But based upom the facts that you have posted I feel that a respected vendor doesn't deserve the "slamming that you lit the board up with.
Your feelings and perception should have been addressed in a PM directly to him.If you refrain from being childlike, and simply think about what I just posted, ------- well I guess you can draw your own conclusion.

1) try to re-sell the item

OR

2) send it back to them, shipping on me of course, AND a 20% restocking fee??? (that REALLY goads me man, what a sham. Yeah, restock into the back room, lots of work)

Bad taste with these guys BIG TIME!!!!! ...Well, they lost 1 customer for crappy customer service policies.

Anyway, Chrome Shroud Kit for sale, paid $79.99...IT'S NEVER BEEN TOUCHED ...i'll sell it to a member at a $10 loss $69.99

Let me know guys...

cheers

Bryan
Wow, you screw up and it is their fault...be a responsible adult, admit your mistake and try to sell it on the lxforums. You ain't gonna get any sympathy from this crowd.

BTW, my experience with 22-Elite is EXCELLENT and 20% of $79.99 is $15.98. If $15 gets you this PO'd you've got issues...who wants the popcorn?

My thoughts from a perspective of someone who has been in the retail auto parts business for 16+ years...

If we make a mistake and sell someone the wrong part we bend over backwards to make it right.

If the customer makes a mistake and give us wrong information we still bend over backwards to get them what they really need, and usually don't charge a restocking fee unless we have to pay one to return the item to our supplier. But we're not going to "eat" shipping if it was not our mistake. Most customers understand this.

If the customer made the mistake, yet comes in all bent out of shape demanding his money back " because you idiots sold me the wrong part" (never mind he was 2 years off on the year of his car...) then he can keep it; plain and simple. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's all about the customers attitude.

/me Sits down before the lock and enjoys some jerkey he snuck in......

PS 22 Elite has treated me more than fair when I need to make a change on something I ordered in a group buy. I expected to eat shipping and the additional cost of recovering something.
