Bad Experience with 22Elite, new engine shroud for sale!

Well, no where on this site did it say this shroud kit was for the 5.7 ONLY, and since I drive a SRT 8...this piece is evidently useless to me.

I contacted 22 Elite, and was told I had 2 options:

1) try to re-sell the item

OR

2) send it back to them, shipping on me of course, AND a 20% restocking fee??? (that REALLY goads me man, what a sham. Yeah, restock into the back room, lots of work)

Bad taste with these guys BIG TIME!!!!! ...Well, they lost 1 customer for crappy customer service policies.

Anyway, Chrome Shroud Kit for sale, paid $79.99...IT'S NEVER BEEN TOUCHED ...i'll sell it to a member at a $10 loss $69.99

Let me know guys...

cheers

Bryan

I could be mistaken, but I don't think the Buy/Sell forum is the appropriate place to publicly slam a supporting vendor and vent about your experience. Post your sell, include a price, add a pic (they help sell your item)....and be done with it. Any issue you had should be posted in the "vendor's' forum.

I have to ask.....WHY would you buy a "shroud kit" for the SRT8....when it doesn't come with a shroud to begin with???

BTW....me commenting on your sale is ALSO not allowed, but I couldn't resist. This is gonna get ugly.

I hope you sell your kit.

Bryan, your post header says engine shroud for sale. Is this correct? Or do you mean just the chrome insert for the stock engine shroud?

I hope you realize that there is no engine shroud on the 6.1 Hemi SRT-8 engine.

Exactly what I said. So without a shroud to begin with....WHY even purchase a shroud "kit"??

Boggles the mind.

You said yourself in your first post that James said you "could" return the item.

And now you suggest (in all caps, no less) that you were't "allowed" to return the item. Which is it?? I'll tell you what it is. You just resent James making YOU cover the shipping and restocking fee for....here it comes...... YOUR MISTAKE.

It's that simple.

Now, if James had sent you the WRONG thing, then I could maybe see your side in not wanting to pay shipping/restocking, etc.

BUT...he didn't. You "ordered" the wrong thing. Your fault. Why should HE cover shipping for YOUR mistake?? How can you NOT even know that the 6.1L HEMI doesn't HAVE a shroud??

Also, I have looked at James website and the ONLY options listed on the product page for Model type are "300C" and "Magnum RT". There is NO option listed for the 300C SRT8! So why purposely order the WRONG thing and then expect James to CYA???

And restocking fees are a common practice these days. Personally, I don't like them either and feel they suck. But they ARE a commonly used so James hasn't just invented a new way to make $$ with this.

I tried to be nice in my first reply to your post, but I can see now by your childish responses that you are a jerk.

Good luck with your sale. You're gonna need it. Personally, I'd steer way clear of ANY financial dealings with a person of your emotional character.

But living in Wisconsin, I guess that's a lot of dough...huh dude?
