We applaud the mostlly mature, and well-reasoned, responses to an emotionally charged issue.
We don't want to see a "lynch mob" mentality come into play here and appreciate the members keeping it that way.

Thank you HEMEEE for keeping things in perspective and noticing that everyone here "is" being well-behaved. Your support in this is highly appreciated as well.

Everyone else, I really do appreciate all the support from you in this matter. It warms my heart to know that you are here to get my back.

That said, I would like to make sure that things here stay "reasonable". LOL!

Let's please keep our heads and not harrass Luke's father and family with this as ONLY Luke is ultimately responsible for what he has done here. I know you are only trying to help and I do appreciate that.

However, I would appreciate it if we do NOT contact his family, or attack them personally. If I feel that needs to be done, I will handle it myself. OK? Luke's failings are his own. The only reason I mentioned his family ties was because he had done so prior and I thought it would add some insight into Luke's personality and upbringing. Besides, I REALLY do like his father's show and found the tie-in very interesting.

Hopefully, Luke will make this right and all this will be cleared up quickly.

Thanks again - and let's all play nice, OK?

JFF

Don't call mom. She has nothing to do with this. He's an adult & should be responsible for his own actions.

His family have absolutely nothing to do with this dispute. They are not members here. I truly hope no members of this forum will act upon your suggestion.

This thread has only been up for a short while. We have not heard the seller's side of the story. When and if the other member posts, it will only add to your information and understanding of this dispute.

Buy /sells are between members and not arbitrated by the admin here. If rules are broken, you can be assured we will deal with that at the appropriate time.

right thing

JustforFun sorry to hear about your bad deal this is the differance between a man and a boy a man would do the right thing and refund your money and a boy will go on thinking he's a man and do nothing. Lets hope he's going to do the whats right. I'am behind you speaking up when it comes to good and bad buyers/seller's they just give the forums a bad rep. and make it harder for the honest members to do bus. Keep the faith.[quote=JustForFun]I want everyone to made aware of how I was taught a lesson recently and got ripped-off by one of our very own - a forum member. The following tale is going to be long and thorough, so be prepared. I apologize for it's length.

Ive bought two things from the buy/sell part of the forum and can't complain. Both of my transactions were local and smooth. Sellers did not BS the items, they looked exactly how they were described. I know I would be pissed off if something like this happen to me.

I did produce this for 300cp, and he sent me several photos of the mod INSTALLED on his 300. i did review the photos jff provided and can confirm, that the emblem had been installed, and appears the damage to the emblem is from being taken off incorrectly. hence the silicone being dirty , and the silicone not being smooth on the back surface. the dirt on the back seems to be imbedded, and looks like heat was used to soften the silicone to remove the emblem. 100% silicone is a very strong adhesive if applied by the directions i supply with my emblem mod.

since 300cp doesn't appear to want to make this right with jff...I have offered to make it right for him. Its my belief I produce something that no one else offers, and i'm more than happy to do that for lovers of the 300 and the members of this forum......................O Stress
Jeff,

Thank you for confirming what I have posted here today. You truly ARE a class act.

And YES, Jeff did make me a VERY kind offer to make this right. I can't say what is was exactly but it was VERY generous on his part. :

But he shouldn't have to.

Luke should.

And I'm still ready to have him do so. All it would take would be for him to admit what he has done, refund my $45, and all is forgiven on my part.

I will give Luke until Sunday evening (Feb. 19) when I return from the Chicago Auto Show to fix this mess. He simply has to PayPal me my money.

If he fails to do so, then I will report him to PayPal. Simple as that.

JFF
