King of Cool: Dean or McQueen?

Mr. DJ gave me the idea for this. There's been a long-standing debate over who is more cool, James Dean or Steve McQueen. Now through the power of the internet we can resolve it through empirical research. Example:

Dean: Died in a Porsche.

McQueen: Died from smoking too many butts.

Tally: Dean 1
McQueen 0

My vote is for McQueen - he was a better race car driver than some of the pros; lived life large; smoked many a butt across several continents - alas, it was the cigarettes that did him in - not overdriving his limits.

I have a McQueen story from Le Circuit to tell some Friday night (after hours).

Tally: Dean 1
McQueen 1

During a training excercise in the Arctic, a transport ship struck a sandbank and flung several tanks and their crews into the freezing water. Many Marines drowned immediately, unable to get out of their tanks. McQueen jumped into the Actic water personally saved the lives of five men, who were almost frozen to death. For this act of heroism Steve McQueen was chosen to be part of the Honor Guard protecting Harry S. Truman's yacht.

My vote is for McQueen

Dean 1
McQueen 3

McQueen over Dean any day.

McQueens driving in Bullit alone was what made me a McQueen fan for life. Plus he was a really good race car driver.

Dean, for sure. Besides, not many bi-sexual men became such major cultural icons. That takes a special amount of cool to pull off.

McQueen had too big of an ego to be "cool."

Dean: 2
McQueen: 4

ROFLMAO!!!

Yeah, 'cuz men like Sean Connery, The Duke, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bruce Willis, and other "real men" don't have egos right? hahahaha.

Sorry, but it goes to McQueen hands down, without a doubt.

Dean was a pretty boy punk. McQueen was a real man.

Dean=Brad Pitt=not cool, just "pretty"

Dean=0
McQueen=9,999,000

(Of course Chuck Norris would kick both of their asses.)
