This why this is a great site

At 58 I get those thoughts all the time. To be able hear similar thoughts from my peers is a bonus.

I'd just like to say thanks to all of you for the words of friendship and support! Many times you have been there with encouragement in a world where that is not always popular, and it makes a difference. Just felt I should tell you that.

If you hadn't yet checked it out, I also paid you a tribute over at my blog.

When I'm bored, a lot of the time I like to look at Who's Online. Tonight was no exception. I came across a thread being viewed by a spider. The thread's title peeked my curosity, so I decided to take a look. I do that a lot too.

It was an old thread written by Steve (CUEBALL) and it did something to me. I found it to be profound and I just can't believe I'd never seen it before. I didn't know the time and space he was in at the time of writing it, but it was something I definately could relate to.

I didn't know what to do, but I had the urge to say something. I decided to PM him to let him know the effect it had on me, and to thank him for his post. I told him I didn't want to drag the thread up, but he graciously gave me permission to post in this thread. Not that I needed permission per se, but you all know what I mean.

Lnda spoke of a lump in her throat. I had that too, and it got me to thinking we all need to be reminded from time to time we're real people with real feelings and emotions behind our user names.

So, as I said to him in the PM, and now publicly, thanks for the post Steve! I hope others who've never seen this will get a chance to read his comments, one of the nicest posts here. What a great place this is with good people to hang out with!!!

Bernie
