Question Anyone here on the boards like Starbucks Coffee?

Hello Gang,

I know this is off-topic, but I was wondering, who on the boards likes Starbucks Coffee? I'll usually grab a Peppermint Mocha on the way to work in the morning. What are your favorite Starbucks concoctions if you get their coffee? Love to hear everyone's response!

Happy Holidays,

Brian T. Carotenuto

Ug.

Friends don't let friends drink drek!

No offense - I'm just a coffee snob. Starbucks coffee is over roasted sub-par beans served by the incapable for an obscene fee - otherwise known as "drek". I guarantee you that my home roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Greenwell Farms Kona blend will blow away ANY coffee from ANY Starbucks on the planet. And my homeroasted Italian Espresso Blend beans will cup out as a completely different creature than any shot that comes from a Starbucks machine... My espresso is sweet nectar of the gods!!!

Cotty...glad your coffee taste didn't "spill over" to your auto taste....

Many people say Starbucks is "over-roasted", I disagree...I love Starbucks coffee, have tried ALL the other ones, and always go back to Starbucks. Yes, I am in Seattle and I do have my pick of any one of 5 coffee shops on every corner! No one does coffee like we do!

My current fav..and don't knock it til you go try it: Pumpkin Spice Latte.

In fact, thanks for the post, I was going to make one here at home, and now I think I'll go fire up the C and get a hot one!!

I started a job in a very large hospital that has a Starbucks in the main cafeteria. I never thought their coffee was that terrific and always bitter. Well, my first week I drank the regular coffee sold in the various cafeterias. Yuk...Starbucks taste real good these days!

I have a Starbucks adjacent to my store. They get about $1,000 of my dollars every year. I love Colombia, Breakfast Blend and their winter "holiday roast".

Starbucks is too expensive, I'll stick with my Tim Horton's and put the savings in my piggy bank for my mod fund.

I don't drink "drip" - so I guess I'm a yup LOTHP. 7-11 is for Slurpees.

Send me some beans Cotty! or at least a link to buy some...and I'll try to get the mermaid out of my eyes. Daily Venti Mochas get spendy, so I do make my own for at least 5 of the 7 days of the week....but on the other 2 days...It's a Seattle thing, you wouldn't understand.

The Flamingo casino in Laughlin, NV serves coffee so good I had to start asking staff what it was. So good, I found myself ordering coffee instead of beer in the casino (sometimes). Finally learned from a restaurant manager that it is Douwe Egbert coffee. Sweet nutty flavor. Since then, the Senseo coffee maker has come out and this is their featured brand, included with the machine. I haven't tried it yet, I prefer to go to Laughlin...

... and you thought Starbucks was expensive?? Try going to a casino for coffee!
