Unhappy Need your prayers for my daughter....

Hey folks, I really need your prayers and some of that good old fashioned 300CForums.com love right now for my 18 year old daughter Jamie. She was just diagnosed as having had a mild STROKE.

Yes, I said a STROKE. Jamie lives with my ex in Virginia and complained to her mom earlier this afternoon that she had a headache on the right side of her head and that her left side felt numb. My ex is a Med Assistant and gave her an aspirin right away and took her to the ER immediately. They took her right in and gave her a CT scan and they just diagnosed the STROKE.

She's in ICU now and under constant supervision and the initial reports are that she has an excellent chance of a 100% recovery, thanks to her mom getting her in there fast and her being young and strong, but I don't care - that's still my little baby.

I still don't have all the info on what part of her brain or how big it was. I didn't want to wait because she needs prayers right now. Here's my "Munchkin" being sassy on her way to see me this past Father's Day.

I'll keep you posted on her condition. Thanks everyone.

Bob

I don't know you Bob, but I feel your pain and your fears for you daughter's well being. News of two people who have suffered strokes in 1 day is too much. I wish you and your family the best and you're right, age is on her side. Here's to hoping she makes a full recovery.

All this and June is Stroke Month. This can happen to anyone at anytime regardless of age.

Prayers coming your way Bob. I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully, her youth and strength will be in her favor, as she is surely in God's.

Sorry, Unfortunately I know how scary this situation is. Thank God everything seems ok! I am confident her mother's quick reaction helped make this the best case senario and will lead to a full recovery. You have my prayers over here. I say you stop everything your doing and go out and see your Munchkin, Nothing is more important then family..

Nick

Bob,

I don't think there is a more frightening experience for a parent than to get a call that one of their children has been injured. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Bob... that's got to be so nerve wracking, particularly when you're not right there. Sounds like the response of her mom and the hospital staff was perfect and effective. The next few days will be so important for her... may the watch care she's getting be all that she needs.
