My car will be sold on Thursday!!!!

No...Not the SRT-8.

But this beauty.

I need the garage space and she's earned enough for me to pay off the SRT-8.

It's an all original '73 with 454 The paint is flawless and show car condition.

The good news is I sold it to my cousin....When I told him I'm selling it, he didn't even ask me how much. He just asked. "When can I come get it." He cleaned out his garage and is driving over tomorrow night....he STILL hasn't asked how much....It's going for $18k though and he won't even blink. I know I wouldn't the car is so beautful. Here's some more pics:

VERY nice ride! My neighbor across the road has a 69 vette. Got him talkin about my C... he was suprised it had a V8. (So we did a little HEMI education on the spot.) Here's hoping he gets to learn about the SRT's 8 in a while! Anyway, back on topic, that car is insanely clean... suprised you're letting it go.

Well.....Here's the skinny on the reality of having an old musclecar....

There's only 2 good reasons to own one.

1.) Because they're absolutely beautiful
2.) The appreciate in value.

Other than that???

3.) They ride like absolute dog dookie
4.) They brake just so-so but the Vette probably brakes better than any old muscle car considering it has 11" 4 piston brakes on all 4 corners.
5.) The seats are uncomfortable and atrocious at holding you in considering they're completely flat.
6.) The cockpit is incredibly noisey and cramped
7.) It handles like crap with it's long nose and crappy weight distribution. Not to mention the 70 series tires that flex like a bowl of Jell-O in the corners.
8.) It gets 8 miles to the gallon and it's still no where near as fast as my SRT-8 or any modern muscle car for that matter.

...But she sure it pretty.

You gave me quite a start there VVV! Wow, she is a beauty! I can’t believe you’re selling your Vette! I don’t recall ever seeing pics of her. VERY SWEET!!!! You can tell you’re a man who takes care of his cars! Well since it is staying in the family I suppose you can have visitation rights?

Hey Matt. Very clean and beautiful Stingray. A 454 as well

My dad had a 76 and 78 Stingrays. I always loved the door opener/pull on the stingrays. Just push and pull.

At least you know who you are selling it to, family, and that he will take as much care and pride in the car as you did. I watched my neighbor as he only took 4 month's to completly trash up pretty much every corner and all 4 wheels on my 96 Impala SS I sold him. The SS was a 7 time best of show winner. It hurt to watch that happen. I am glad I moved shortly thereafter.

To be honest that is to be seen....He's kind of laxidasical when it comes to keeping his $125k Mercedes SL600 clean.

He's got MORE than enough money to take it to Gary Kouba (he's only about 15 minutes from there.) SO I'm writing up a "care manual" for him personally.

1.) You must take it to Gary once a year.
2.) Keep in garaged in the winter.
3.) Only take it to get washed by people using microfiber.

We'll see if he takes my advice. Swirl marks and such don't usually pop out at the layman's eyes but I will be riding his a$$ to keep it clean or I told him I'm stealing it back from him on the basis of principal!
