Honest tech at a Chrysler dealer!

I guess there are some honest people left in the world. I dropped my 300C SRT-8 off at a local dealer so they can take care of the "no signal" problem with my satellite radio. I talked to the tech this morning. He said that they ordered an antenna. That should be in next week. He also said that he found a pile of money under the seat. He put it in an envelope, sealed it and left it in the glovebox. I forgot that I had that in there! There was just under $500. sitting in the envelope when I picked up the car. He could have put that in his pocket and I probably wouldn't have remembered it.

I think he will be getting a free lunch next week! The dealer is Ralph's Chrysler in New Bedford, MA. Thanks goes out to Roy over there!

If you put 500 bucks under a seat and don't remember it is there...... you make too much money. LOL!!

There are a bunch of honest people out there, they just don't get the recognition or the media time, it just doesn't sell.

Great story.

Wow, great story for sure. Honest people don’t think they’re doing anything special since they can’t imagine doing anything differently than what they did. Sadly many don’t know the meaning. Great idea on buying him lunch. Congrats getting the $$ back.

I once found an old wallet of mine that still had $20 in it, but I don't think I would forget $500 I'm glad the guy was honest and gave you the money. I like to think that most people would do the same.

Once my wallet fell out of my coat pocket near an ATM. I realized when I got to my car that I must have lost it and I went back looking and couldn't find it. Then my wife suggested that I go check at the Giant Food, next door, and see if someone turned it in there. I couldn't believe it, but when I went to the Giant Food customer service counter, they had my wallet and all of my money and credit cards were still in it. Whoever turned it in had already left though, so I couldn't thank him/her. I was more concerned about the hassles of cancelling credit cards and getting a new drivers licence than the money, but it is nice to know there are HONEST people around.

I was probably going out to a club and didn't want to bring it all in with me so I slid it under the seat and forgot. There were a few hundreds and twentys. I couldn't believe the $ was in the envolope when I got there. Already talked to Domino's. They will be calling to take his order in the morning

I left money a car once in my life and don't you know it got broken into. Stole my cassette tapes (Eagles, etc.) tools, but guess what they didn't take. My deposit! I guess the tunes blinded them.
Good to meet some of the honest ones. Usually you don't get the chance to find out who is honest, only who isn't.
