Talking Here I go again...

Grandbaby #7 is on the way NOW, expected arrival... tomorrow! Finally one in the same state as "Mammy & Pappy" . They waited as long for this baby as some of you did for yours (300 variety that is)!

I offered to babysit when daughter goes back to teaching Kindergarten, she knows how to work her Mom... said she has a car seat for me that matches my C's interior

Y'all are friends so thought I better let you know why I may be a little scarce in the weeks and months to come so angi doesn't put out an APB on me too!

You're gonna be like the dad in the Durango commercial.

"Grandson, the only thing you need to know is..HEMI..can you say that?"

Haha.

That's so cute, matching car seat! Congrats! Also glad you checked in before I had the teletype sent to all jurisdictions and bureaus!

Hemee 0 #7 - wow! Life is good.

BTW, I will send you snow pics - most of it melted, but we are getting another storm tomorrow.

Hey Linda, congratulations!!!! It's a good thing you have leather seats, they are easy to wipe up. Remember?!?!? LOL

Congrats Linda...and to your daughter too.

Here's my tip for the car seat. Get a bath size towel color matched to your interior. Fold it in half, lay it on the seat and tuck one end between the seat and seatback. It will keep your seat from getting any kid messes on it and it will stop the chaffing and indentations that the car seat leaves. While you're at it, get a matching hand towel to keep in the center console.

Good advice! I really marred the leather seats in my 94 Thunderbird with the carseats. Congrats Linda, sounds like you will need one of those t-shirts that says, "Grandma's my name, spoilin's my game".

Almost 1 am and still no baby, gonna catch a few winks before heading to the hospital. I'll keep you posted if boy or girl. Thanks for the well-wishes, kind words and great advice! (adding more towels to the list)... this forum is the coolest and it's the people that make it so!!

TaHa24: That's exactly where my login here & license plate came from... HEMEEE, I can say it!
Northern Rider: If our recent weather is any indicator, you're in for it and I should should see some great pics soon!
Mikeyjohn: You bet I remember! -up = messy yuck
JonW: Have towels, will travel... I always keep a MF one in the console with a tiny spray bottle for wayward bird turds; now terry for baby barf... ack
pd171: Thanks for the marred leather warning, didn't think of that! Negative on the 'Grandmother' T-shirt though, my kids say I don't look or act like any Grandma they ever saw, that's why the grands call me 'Mammy' instead. As for spoiling? Well, I am spoiled myself and one should never break tradition!

Great advice, my cousin did that in his BMW. The best to you and your family.
