my suggestion? wait for 6 months, not for a price drop, but for the components to stabilize.. its bound to over-heat, disc-read errors, crash. you dont want no lemons now do you? :P besides, dont waste your time lining up because 400,000 divided by atleast 1,000,000 nationwide isn't so pretty =P

If I gotta get a bundle...so be it...if I pay $1000, then I should get $2000 for it. There will allways be someone with money to burn for something like this., even though I wouldn't pay $2k for it.....

you want my suggestion, if you do succeed in getting an extra PS3, start it for $1,500 and dont put a buy it now price... watch it skyrocket... i think it will hit atleast 3,000-4,000 before selling ... if not more

i will have 2 PS3's in next week..i cant say it will be "for sale" because that would piss sony off
my friend owns a store and his store was chosen for BETA testing..he is donating it to me and i can "donate" it to someone else..i will announce something when i have it in my hands..1 will NEW in box..the other used for 2 hours...still new.
u better believe these will sell out fast in stores and reach up to $2500-3000 on ebay..i just looked and saw one going for $2300 on a ebay auction.

I pre-ordered mine from game stop on 10/10/2006. I also pre- ordered 4 games. The Gamestop store that I pre-ordered from is getting 10 to release that day. I am number 5 on the list. I have seen these going for over $3000 on ebay.

Good luck with that. I heard Sony isn't even guaranteeing individual stores will get any at all to sell, so how a store can say they'll get 10, I dunno. I just hope you don't get screwed. I can imagine them saying: "sorry, we didn't get any from the first allotment, but we'll keep your deposit till we do get some and sell you one then...like in about three months"

If anyone has read this months GamePor it shows how expensive the PS3 can be.
They were showing pricing for a PS3 with tax with 1 extra control and 1 game and it came out to a total of 900 or so.
The cheapest one with a game and extra remote was like 700 or something.
Good luck Sony, but I think that they should not of pushed the Blu Ray disc technology or maybe made it an add-on.

They were also saying how it would be hard to compete with other consoles because it would be hard for PS3 to drop prices because of the Blu Ray Disc technology.

I missed out on the pre-order walkin at Gamestop,,,.I was soooooooooo pissed that I read the info 3 hours late....next chance is the online pre-order and wait over night at Best Buy.
