The 500 is a prime example of why I left FURD products and why I refuse to buy their products unless they change their mindset as to trying to figure out what consumers actually want.

No offense, but are you being serious? 260 hp in a sedan of this size. World Class?

We all know that the reality is that the "base" engine in the LX is the 5.7. The sixes are low price options IMO. Ford has to know that they are going to be judged against the 5.7 as it is the most popular engine available in the LX.

They only offer one engine. WTF???

Ford does not make a good car engine right now. Everything they offer with over 300 hp is blown.

I know I know, "Just wait for the new Hurrican/BOSS engine."

Waiting!!!

Watching the ships sink. Which will go under first GM or Ford?

I love the concept, very ballsy, a bit toothy like the Alien but handsome, elegant and even stunning if it were ever seen on the road. Rest assured, Ford will screw it up. They have fallen below GM which is hard to do.

I got an opportunity to speak at Ford's world headquarters recently.

My father was retiring from Ford Marketing after 38 years.

There were about 150 people at my dads retirement party. I got to meet many important Ford people.

They asked me to speak (at the podium) and I was quite terrified because I did not know any of these people.

I walked up to the podium, cleared my throat, and said:

"Hi and thank you for honoring my dad. I do not know how to tell you this . . . . . but I was talking to him about retiring on the way here tonight . . . . and he changed his mind."

The crowd of about 150 people laughed and laughed and laughed. It was the longest and most uncomfortable 15 minutes of my life !!!! (afterward many confided in me that the atmosphere at Ford is very ominous)
