2008 Mercedes-Benz C - Class

Hi Guys!!

Click on THIS to see the all-new for 2008 Mercedes-Benz C - Class. The 'C' competes with BMW's 3-series cars. [In case you didn't know] Note that there will be a C63 AMG with a 6.2 litre 450 h.p. V8.

I often get a little green with envy whenever I read things about cars like the C63 AMG. But then I quickly remind myself that there is NO DOUBT that the C63 will be thousands [tens of thousands?] of dollars more then my 300C SRT8. No matter what performance sedan is pitted against our SRT8's in an attempt to put it in its place - we always have the value equation to fall back on. And that's not a desperate attempt to make an excuse. For none is needed. It's just an undeniable FACT. The SRT8 is an amazing car!! And even more amazing when you consider what it costs.

Craig!!

ooooh, i like it, looking like an s class shouldn't be a bad thing i'm sure! kinda like people saying our cars look like bentleys. plus some sort of family resemblance should be there.

never did like the old C class, main reason i got a 300C instead of a C class or a 3 series.

Canada Craig's posts

Craig,
I always like your posts. There needs to be another catagory in the list of "What kind of forum member are you?" thread..
Maybe "Auto-Road & Car & Motor & Track & Driver & Automobile Trend Week" editor?

The new C-Class hits me as... I don't know,
too artsy? Is that a word?

The nose looks to high and has too much going on. There is too much flair in the side contours, and the beltline is cut too far down into the doors.
The nose is too tall. The headlights are too Lexus. The hood is too straight. The tailights are too large.

Maybe I would think different when I see one on the roll, but from this article, I prefer the last model.

Now the CLS is GORGEOUS. The current SLK is hot too. Same with the current E-Class, especially in E63 guise.

But this one leaves me cold.

No sir, I don't like it.

...now that C63 model does sound like fun I think I could get used to the styling with THAT drivetrain.

I would not spend money on Mercedes. They all look the same and they completely lack personality. Nothing beats the design of the 300!

(sorry MB owners

ah, thank you.
MUCH better than the outgoing W203 in my opinion. my mom got one in 2002 and i've hated looking at it ever since.

Test drove a 03 C320 & 07 C280, both 4-matics (AWD). The 320 with 23k was as nice as the C. Almost traded my wife's ML500 but the trade offer sucked. Most MB owners don't mod and dislike my chrome mods. We're not ruling out a future C class swap with either car.
