I had to stop watching, it was too painful. I think that was supposed to be in Portland, Oregon so those folks are pretty used to snow.
It RAINS a lot in Portland, but snow is not common. That's more for us "inland northwest" people....

I'm pretty sure that was on a hill but due to the angle of the camera from above like that it was hard to see. I don't know for sure but you can't judge too harshly - - It can be impossible to see ice and if it's covered in a little snow that's even worse. Once you're in the middle of it it's too late. At least they weren't flying down the street, everyone seemed to be going slow.

But I agree, when it's like that STAY HOME! Last week we had VERY slippery conditions here, and around 9pm a friend of mine showed up at my house with his girlfriend and their 4 month old baby boy. They were "just out driving around" and decided to stop by. I read him the riot act and told him he was stupid for being on the road with his little boy when it was not necessary....... some people just don't think much.

Well I can imagine; up here about half our population is newcomers from SoCal and yeah, they think they are invincible in their SUV. You'd think they would realize that 4 wheel drive or All whell drive only makes it easier to get GOING in the slippery stuff; it doesn't help one bit when you need to stop.

probably not, thats what im saying, that they are not used to driving conditions like that so they didnt know what to do, if they were used to conditions like that they would probably take a different route if it was absolutely necessery to come out of the house in the first place.
