I live in Socal and last week it was really windy.... so im driving to down town LA and every couple miles some one Runs in to a wall or center Divider, Or drives off the edge of the freeway, 2 tow trucks pulling peoples cars back on the the freeway within 5 miles of eachother, ha..... I couldnt imagine If it snowed like that here, people just dont understand that you cant always drive 80 in your big escalade..

When I came home from work this morning the roads were pretty bad, "classie" and I were shaking in our snow tires all the way. while on route I got to see one of those people who thinks they can drive fast (we all can drive fast but they don't think about if they have to stop quick) they had flipped there dodge truck on its side in a swampy area off the road...I kept thinking I hope they are okay, I had LP with me so I didn't stop. there was already a wrecker there and three other cars to help but it sent some erie chills through my cheeks if you know what I mean!

This is the kind of thing I thought was going to be in that "California carnage" thread that turned out to be a beautiful charger by the sunny beach!

hooolyyy!!!!!!!! even here in calgary it snows way more then that and it gets down to -40C with wind and there are no crazy multiple crashes like that. i guess the people in the video are just not used to snow and they have no skill to drive in it.

Let me ask you this though? after seeing the first car playing bumpers cars would you have hopped in your ride and tried to drive down that same road? what were they all thinking?

Ice

That is thick ice on the street, under a thin layer of snow. Nothing will help those people. Maybe tire chains would have helped a bit, but they should just have stayed indoors. The one going sideways was pretty sickening, I woulda crapped in my pants.

I had to stop watching, it was too painful. I think that was supposed to be in Portland, Oregon so those folks are pretty used to snow.
