Smile The Ultimate Compliment

I pulled into the local Best Buy. Parked as far away from the masses as I could and as I got out of the car along comes this elderly lady (and I’m no spring chicken myself). She stops and says to me “My gosh what a gorgeous car you must be really enjoying it” Now that made my day for me.

Sorry DUBSTER but that out dose your trade mark SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK any day.

It’s great when people out of the clear blue sky take the time to notice your ride and pay a compliment. Especially from someone you wouldn’t normally expect it from. I’m sure your car must have looked spectacular sitting in the sun of that parking lot. Congratulations!

Speaking of older people, I was parked in front of the Bank Building I work in, and I was sitting in my car waiting for my mom to come out (I also work with my mom). Well I see this older couple walk by and the lady about breaks her neck turning back, then stops and stares at my car, then realizes Im sitting in it. She looks at me and laughs and then says "Wow, this is a beautiful car you have". I just smiled and kinda chuckled and said Thanks.

This thread reminds me of the day I am at Lowe's on a Saturday afternoon and headed back out to the car. I always park at the back of the lot. About halfway there I see someone pull up next to my car. As I get to the car and open the trunk the elderly gentlemen is walking by who parked the truck next to me says " What a beautiful car", I acknowledge and "Says thank you". While I am put the items in the trunk the gentleman walks back from about half way to the store to tell me. " I wanted to let you know that I made sure I did not get to close to your car, I did not want to touch it". This gentlemen had to be in his late seventies. I told him, no problem and thank you. You got to respect a guy like that!

OK, you guys are not helping my case with my wife. I'm trying to convince her that my pending 300C isn't an "old person's car" and you're all posting about the compliments you're receiving from the elderly...

Of course, they obviously did have good taste in cars back in the day...

OK, here you go. I was at the gas station last summer filling up and this hot young thing comes over and tells me how hot and sexy she thinks the 300's are. She talkes to me for about a half hour and asks me where I live. I was at the gas station in the neighborhood. At the time I was 49 and she looks mid twenties.

I know, I know. This is not going to help your case either.

300's are old man's cars...so what? I wouldn't hold it against one, old man's cars can be quite fun.

An “old man’s” car that will kick you to the curb if you’re not careful!

Now Ken about that young thing at the filing station……
