Ford has a 2.9 liter twin turbo motor!!

The other night I was at my parents house and one of my dads friends works with the transmission svt team. And he said that the ford fairlane is coming out and that right now they are testing a 2.9 liter twin turbo motors. Im a ford guy when it comes to muscle(older) other than that I think that make junk.

I consider that good news about the new engines.

Well when it comes to racing, the Champ Car series (formerly CART) now runs on 2.65L 8 cyl turbocharged Ford engines. so they've got reliablity and high performance licked in racing engines. Not sure about current production engines.
In my opinion Ford can build very good cars and engines, including the current Focus. Their extreme cost cutting resulted in bad styling in cars like the Five Hundred and the new 2008 focus, and a warmed over Mazda 6 called Fusion. Ford Europe still produces great looking and performing cars.

dare not say Ford isn't happy with the Focus sales to compete with the rice burner..so now they not only want to compete they want to eat the current ricers on the street..hmmm
