Chicago Poker Open

Hello,

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on last Friday's Chicago Poker Open. For those of you that don't know. There was a charity event last Friday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago. The 2nd Annual Chicago Poker Open was held to raise money for three Chicago Boys & Girls Club, which we all know is a great charity. I was fortunate enough to have played in the tournament. There must have been at least 160 people playing in this thing. I was lucky enough to have made it to the final table. After everything was said and done I came in 7th place. I'm not going to complain 7 out of 160 people is pretty good if you ask me. I'd like to thank everyone from the forum that showed me support. I didn't want to let them or the forum down!!!

Congrats, i love playing Texas hold 'em when i am home and especially down here at school. A majority of the time i wind up at the Final table and i am usually down to the last 2 or 3 and on occasion win it all. I wish they had a casino or somewhere to play near us. I am like 5-10 mins from you. Anyways congrats again

Wow 7th out of 160 sounds really great…..considering I’ve never played. Congratulations on your placement in this excellent fund raiser. So how much did they end up raising for the programs? Thanks for the update!

Awesome CSand78 you have made us all proud by the fact that you did this wonderful charity event, that in itself tells me alot about your character! And yes you did great, you made it to the final table and that is quite the accomplishment. If memory serves me it was for the boys and girls club of America right?

I see it was for the Chicago boys and girls club...sorry I am tired...I guess that is different?
