PayPal SUCKS!! AAAAAARRRGH!!

Has anyone besides me had a problem with PayPal. I have 2 business accounts and they "limited my access" to my accounts, both of them!!

This happened about 6 weeks ago and Ive been jumping thru loops since. These fockers have about $2500 of my hard earned money on hold!

i didnt have 1 dispute or charge back either, so my record was as clean as Jesus's hands.

here is what they wanted:

-fax over I.D.
-confirm social security#
-fax contact numbers for your supplier and invoices
-confirm phone# thats registered(couldnt do it because i use my cell, they want a LAN line.)
*phone confirmation didnt work do i had to wait on a letter to arrive be snail mail with a special number.
-fax over 2 utility bills for the address's registered(i use a UPS store to receive my business mail, so I dont have utility bills)
-confirm credit check address

this sucks! i cant complete all of those steps because i dont have the utility bills. what kind of crock of shizzle is this?!?! now they say i have to wait 4 more months for my money to be released...while they gain interest may i add.

ive done some research and here is what ive found, its not just me after all, its thousands of people!

PayPal is not a bank so they are not governed by banking regulations. They can basically hold your money and gain interest!!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH!
That sucks big time!
I never had problems with PayPal.
All i can think about is that someone was trying to steal your identity.
And they are doing this to protect you until they find out it's really you
Good luck
Gary

after i did more researching, i found that if you send or receive large amounts of money, it sends up a red flag to PayPal and they automatically "freeze" the account. in the meantime, you have to ship your customers their itemso out of your pocket or your ebay feedback is ruined and your kicked off for "non-performance''.

by the way, im an ebay seller and i had large amounts of money coming in thru my websites and ebay items..i guess it sent up a red flag. but they shouldnt put me thru loopholes and make me give them all that information. I know they have to protect the buyers, but what about the people selling to the buyers?

now i have to use a credit card merchant to accept payments and its a hassle because most of everyone uses paypal.

Sucks man, I've never passed that much money through my paypal, and I don't think I want to now.
im kinda scared of forging documents.

my dad had his account frozen a while back and they verified everything, utility bill too. they even called on a Sunday morning to verify that he indeed sent all the information. basturdz!

they brought out the vice grips on me, ouch! and youre right, i just have to wait it out. ive called and explained my situation and they didnt want to hear it. ''You must complete all the steps"..blah blah blah. everytime i call i get a teenager, you can even hear people laughing and talking loud in the background. totally unprofessional. and to think they have access to all of your personal information, sheesh!

Compared to other horror stories, mine isnt so bad. They had accounts getting $10,000 on hold. They have plenty of class action lawsuits going on as well.

before this, paypal has been pretty cool. but after this, im not using them ever again.
