all that means is that its the best bang for the buck. Obviously the 5 series/ 3 series is number one in that list

Well consider the source; Forbes is not a car magazine, what the hell do they know about cars? I wouldn't read "Car & Driver" for business news either.

What a joke that list is. First of all, it says Best "Luxury" Cars for the buck. There are 7 SUV's/Crossovers on that list, which are not considered "cars". So automatically strike the Enclave, Yukon, RX350, FX35, XC70, RX400h, & MKX off the list. Then cross off the 2 Bimmers since everybody knows how over-priced they are. Then knock the 3 Swedes off the list due to their less than stellar reliablity & resale value. So you are then left with the IS250, TL, & TT. And while these 3 seem to be worthy of the "bang for the buck" title, I'd hardly call them luxury cars due to their entry level status and small sizes. Why isn't the Cadillac CTS on that list. In fact, it should be at the very top of the list. And while we all probably think the 300 was wrongly left off the list, it really isn't a "luxury" car and thus doesn't belong either.

You're exactly right. The link was in a financial page from my Home Page - Yahoo! Canada Personal Finance

Forbes, Kiplinger's, Consumer Reports, GQ, Maxim, and all "men's" magazines need to learn not to talk about things they don't know anything about.

They probably don't consider the 300 a luxury car, although it has all the right things it doesn't have the brand status OR the "quality" for it, ya know, gathered leather and padded vinyl all over the place. Oh yeah, and more fake wood

Okay, just kidding Really though, that list is a joke - and if you consider the TL a luxury car, the 300 is too. In fact, the 300C makes much more of a luxury car than the TL does, for many reasons (or features!), more power, and a traditional RWD setup vs the TL which was a gussied up Accord (with a different body!)

That and we're talking about Acura here, they're known for rattles and tranny issues about as much as any other car company is. Their seats may just be a little nicer and the dash too, but it's not going to be that big a difference, certainly not worth it!
